This afternoon True the Vote founder Catherine Engelbrecht filed an ethics complaint against Rep. Elijah Cummings alleging the Congressmen intimidated her and and her group.
Rep. Elijah Cummings on three separate occasions sent letters from the House Oversight and Government Reform, stating that he had concerns and felt it necessary to open an investigation on True the Vote.
The Congressman also smeared True the Vote in several cable news interviews in 2012. In the hearing today, Cummings accused True the Vote of racism saying that they were trying to suppress the vote.
Catherine Engelbrecht was on with Megyn Kelly tonight:
“Franky, Megyn, the thought of having to sit before my accuser and be silent in the face of what we did was unconscionable… He filed over a period of months in 2012, he filed three letters that he sent to me asserting that he was opening an investigation. He sent this on House Oversight and Government Reform letterhead.”

I would think what goes around, comes around, but I am wondering if we will really ever get a chance to stick it to these SOBs? I do not expect to see a Pubbie president in my lifetime. I will be MOST surprised, if Hillary is not in the White Hut next. Things could go from bad, to worse. She has an enemies list too. I hate these rat bustards.

Only that? Probably not by a long shot. Elijah Cummings is of a mindset that does not think the threat of prosecution is any kind of incentive for him to behave in a civilized or cordial manner. For him, being convicted of some sort of criminal behavior would completely justify his history of bad manners and boorish behavior.
Poor black man gets killed, goes to jail again. Don't you watch movies, where that is the plot line?

elijah needs to be taken to the river, and baptized into real humanity, hung upside down from a building to building clothesline to dry in the fresh breeze of a sunshiney day, until the clothespins rot and he drops his fresh roasted sunshiney butt to the welcoming projects asphalt below where he helped trap his own people for so many years.

I remember my mother kind of freaking out when Abe Beame (remember him?) got elected Mayor of NYC. “we’ve never had a Jewish mayor and now we’ll never have anything but!” was her response. (My mother, staunch Republican, NOT anti-Jewish, I never understood why that freaked her out so much). But, she was wrong.
Say what you want about the commie DeBlasio (like, for one example, he’s a commie), but he’s not Jewish.
Perhaps a Republican member of that committee should send similar letter to Media Matters and Organizing for America...

While channel surfing between the Olympics I caught today’s C-SPAN edition of this House committee hearing. The short of it, which is no surprize to anyone on this forum, is that the House committee members are highly polarized. The Repubs managed to stay civil, but the Dims could barely contain their fury, including Rep. Cummings. God bless the TEA Party witnesses and their counsels, but this administration under Jarrett/Holder will bury everything, with extreme prejudice.
Where do I send money to help this woman.
She’ll be financially ruined when these idiots can use taxpayer dollars to bludgeon people.
