With lots of people having no jobs or savings, encouraged by the welfare state, things are going to get ugly when the money runs out.

There are far more people looking for jobs than there are jobs.

Thanks Obama!

Laws against age discrimination are to blame, too.

Employers can't risk a lawsuit by denying a job to an older worker.

I’m self-employed and went overseas. Does that count as a job going overseas?

Whole jobs-going-overseas thing is a fake issue. The buildings remain abandoned, because if they sell them or rent them to another company, all sorts of severance benefits to laid-off union members become due and owing. The unions and management of the gone companies could get creative, exchange those putative severance benefits and the company’s useless real estate holdings for equity in a new company that will make something, but instead the buildings remain empty, the rust belt gets rustier, and there are no jobs.

Wealth is a state of mind waiting to get turned into a fact. Poverty is a state of mind that inevitably gets turned into a fact.

This used to be called unemployment. The real unemployment rate is about 20%.

Now the statistics are falsified to keep the unemployment rate down and the MSM dutifully reports the artificially low number the government publishes.

But think of all the time they have to be free agents, pursue their hobbies, and spend more time with their families? What’s not to like? (/s)

does this take into account the many, many men who retire after 20 yrs in the military then never do a dang thing the rest of their lives, because I know quite a few living off their pensions....

I work with lots of women...nurses, therapists, aides, etc....I can tell you the women keep working well into their 60's while their husbands are "retired" or just not working....most women I work with will work til full SS age maybe beyond, while their husbands start collecting early......

Or the guy up the street who got on disability so he could sit around drinking beer and watching porn all day.

Much also has to do with putting the straight white male at the end of the line; the poor economy only worsens it.

Take a good look next time you're in a pharmacy, bank, public school, hospital, doctor's office. Very few are men, and even fewer are straight white men.

Look at the commercials on tv. To the extent there are white males there, they are portrayed as sloppy dressers and simple minded. When was the last time you saw a white male in the anchor chair for local/national news - weather...the list goes on.

Part of our ‘fundamental transformation’.

Nearly 25% of our workforce sitting idle, is evidence of a major depression. If the stats needed to show this as a depression aren’t there, then it’s time to develop a new gauge of what exactly a depression is.

Almost half of our workforce is either idle, or working for far less than they were making a decade ago.

If that isn’t a depression, then the term is useless, and the term recession is just a sick joke.

LOL I’m one of those...the woman, that is with a guy that’s sort of looking, but family issues are keeping him from looking. I’d like a better job, but at 50+ I’m just not as sharp as I once was and doubt I’d get a new one.

Have you not heard the latest spin from Jay Carney and Harry Reid? This is good news. Men are no longer suffering from “job lock.” Men are not locked into jobs. They can spend more time with their family. No more “job lock”. Hooray! Men can stay home and get subsidized health insurance from the gubmint.

This is the result of years of liberalism! Taking away a man’s ability to work and earn a living and support his family is like cutting off his man parts.

Feminazis love it. They have no sympathy and no understanding for men. They feel that men deserve it. They have always wanted to castrate men, and finally found a way to do it-through the government.

The men I know who are long time out of work want to work. Funny how their wives are still working.

Any triggering event would likely lead to real possible financial meltdown, or just long overdue correction, in Obama’s second term.

Somehow I have the uneasy feeling that Obama and the One-World-ers have their contingency plan at the ready “To Not Waste any crisis”.

job lock... hahhh!!!!

what spin... then I guess everything is a lock.. locked into morgage payments... locked into parenting children..locked into car payments... locked into our job.. those 10 million should be so lucky to be locked into a job.

wouldn’t it be nice to be baby again, and spoon fed our food and had our diapers changed for us.

these are children up there at the White House... children.
