It is said that Machiavelli was the first to recommend it, but the old adage of “the best defense is a good offense” has been adapted wholesale by the LGBTPed community, and New York State is next.
Last year, gay rights advocates succeeded in convincing Republican Governor Chris Christie to ban therapies that redirect those who are struggling with unhealthy physical attractions toward healthier options. The legislation banning redirection through treatment sessions actually passed in New Jersey as well as California.
A bill first introduced last year by Senator Brad Hoylman, a Manhattan Democrat, was just reintroduced in the New York State legislature with new amendments. Our Governor, Andrew Cuomo, is the one who introduced anti-Leviticus marriage ceremonies in this state and is quite likely to advocate passage of this bill.
In previous decades, Rabbi Moshe Sherer z”l, leader of the Agudath Israel of America organization, made sure to develop strong ties with the Roman Catholic and other Christian communities to assist in ensuring that the mutual interests, needs and goals of these communities be met. Unfortunately, we do not see that these relationships and ties have been kept up. This is most unfortunate, because if this legislation passes, it will seriously undermine religious freedoms in this state.
The state Senate is dominated by Republicans, but the fact that a Republican governor in New Jersey acquiesced to this type of legislation is somewhat ominous. Ironically, “Bridgegate” may work in our favor, dampening the inertia of what the Republican governor allowed.
The LGBTPed community is in high gear and it appears that the religious communities are way behind the eight-ball.
Our organizations such as Agudath Israel, the Orthodox Union and National Council of Young Israel should be working with those who are actively lobbying against it, such as the Rev. Jason McGuire, president of New Yorker’s Family Research Foundation and the Roman Catholic Church. Those of us who live in Long Island should contact Dean Skelos who has still not weighed in on the issue and express our outrage.
As of this writing, not one of our Torah organizations has issued a statement on the New York State bill. The bill, in essence, deprives both minors and therapists the freedom of seeking out therapies that will encourage redirection for those struggling with unhealthy physical attractions. This is a direct assault on religious freedoms in this state by the LGBTPed community, and we must put in an all-out effort to quash this bill.
They add a new letter to that acronym every time I turn my head.
What does it stand for?
I believe the letters “Ped” were added to LGBT to mean pedophile or pedophilia.
From Ptolemy and Nero on, gays have always been tyrants.
You cannot rely in liberals and even liberals know that... but they can rely on idiot Rinos like Christy to revise and flip history into making God the tryant and not gays.

Indeed... this is the epitomy of the hypocrisy. They target young people who know yet not good from evil, compelling them to shameful behaviors.
Compelling to have others do what you want to do that is illegal is the devil’s tool. And compell the youth and idiot naive Rinos is what they do.
The hypocrisy is on their attack of anticompelling therapies.
The disease is not homosexuality per say, but liberal self compellment.

In fairness that was not always true as there were some noble and decent gays in history. But the militant gays have succeeded in making tiny minority and their brand appear as though it is the majority view. Agitation-propaganda.

As I understand it, the reparative therapy bans in NJ and CA only applied to children.
It is my opinion that the author of the editorial added "ped" to denote the deviant behavior they indulge in, added "ped", as in pedophilia, as a way to impugn, castigate them, and is definitely not something they use, want part of their name as anything they want to be noted for.
I use sodomite or deviant in public, your term in circles.
LGBT’s don’t want to be tied to pedophiles, the same way progressives/liberals don’t want to be tied with socialists. Give it some more time...we’ll be told how pedophiles are an oppressed victim group, too.

The logic of LGBT progression suggests that eventually, like in a couple of years, males in particular will be required by law to experience a period of homosexual partnership, perhaps with couples matched up by the Federal Dating Bureau,before being permitted to engage in heterosexual relations at all. Marriage will be redefined yet again as partnership exclusively between members of the same sex. Some time after that only homosexual couples will be permitted to adopt babies from that small group that is not raised in government creches.
