have you listened to modern rap music? And I'm not talking about the R&B hits on your local Clear Channel station but actual rap. Like this stuff. In the Navy, I hear it played at work all the time. From a musical standpoint, it's just awful. A monotone, simple repeated keyboard melody behind digitally-manipulated profane mumbling. That's all it is.

I hate to sound like the old "get off my lawn!" guy but I recall the hip-hop explosion in the 1990s and those "artists" were freakin' Mozart compared to what kids today are listening to. I can admit that guys like Eminem were talented but today's rap has no redeeming artistic value whatsoever. It is pure garbage. Truly "music" for people with 80 IQs.

Fortunately, all the kids steal music these days so nobody is getting rich making this crap.
