Dem Rep Wants Public ‘Rage’ over Unemployment Benefits Similar to Prospect of Syria Intervention
Mediaite ^ | 12/26/13 | Noah Rothman

Appearing on MSNBC on Thursday, Rep. Gwen Moore (D-WI) scolded her colleagues in Congress for failing to extend unemployment benefits for long-term jobless before they expire at the end of the year. Moore said that she hoped to see “rage” from Americans over the lapse of unemployment benefits in the same way Americans revolted over the prospect of intervening in the Syrian civil war.

**SNIP**

“If we can generate the kind of rage in the American public that we have seen when, say, for example just recently there was talk of going to Syria, I think we could get people on board for doing this really American thing,” Moore concluded.

She’s eligible for Unemployment Insurance, if she ever lost her district, though. And TANF, Section 8, Food Stamps, Obamaphone, etc.

The “American” thing to do would be to run her commie ass out of office. Asshat politicians like this bitch need to be purged, once and for all.

However, since there are so many dependent upon this witch and her marxist brethren in D.C. taking from me and giving to them, I don't see this country returning to long term prosperity in my lifetime without a %50 reduction in the population of this country via a Civil War.

??? Why? Prior to the need top pass a budget all we heard from Obama and his cheerleaders is how much better the country is doing how the economy is improvong as is employment. The Obama lapdogs in the media regularly have reports about how well things are improving. Why then the need to keep extended unemployment benefits around? Which is it Obama? Are things better or not. You can nopt have it both ways.....

I want to see rage that President Ocommie has done so little to inspire businesses to create more American jobs. Take your jackboots off the throats of American businesses and maybe they’ll open new positions which would reduce unemployment instead of complaining about the payments to the non-working.

I was out of work for an entire year and suffered the humiliation of calling every week and showing up periodically in person to prove I was applying for jobs in order to keep receiving a check. What about THAT rage? If there was a Republican in the White House, all you’d see from the MSM would be bread lines and unemployment lines but because it is Comrade Barry, they’ve pretended for five years that unemployment was the employer’s fault instead of an insatiable government that never met a tax they didn’t like.

I would be VERY careful about wanting the people’s rage. First thing it’ll get out of control and the peope will come after YOU, Gwen.

President Zero never ran a hot dog stand in his life. How could he know how to create jobs? He hangs out with ivory tower academics who also have no experience in main street business operation. He has the fewest people in his cabinet and advisers who have actually worked in a survive by making profit type business.

Demagogic Party ping — and there wasn’t any “rage” from the left. Thanks Libloather.

Yeah, I agree. Politicians make some silly leaps of logic in their comparisons, but this one was truly an exercise in “WTF Logic 101”.

1 year after not being able to find a job, my neighbor found one... 7 days after his unemployment benefits ran out.

Coincidence I’m sure.

Let’s not be mad that they are not working and have no hope of finding a job because of the crappy job with the economy. Let’s get mad that we don’t turn unemployment benefits into a permanent thing.

So she wants people to be just as an outrage, as a war weary public has at starting a conflict which could escalate to a level that would make Iraq look like a fight on the playground?
