A new CNN/ORC International poll released Thursday shows Republicans holding a 49 percent to 44 percent edge over Democrats in the “generic ballot,” ...

Just two months ago, after the government shutdown, Democrats were up 50 percent to 42 percent. But a month later, the GOP had a narrow edge - 49 percent to 47 percent.

Of course there is still a long time until the 2014 elections, but Republicans have an opening, hope they will not snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, as they often do.

Of course the Dems will pull out all the stops to make sure they won't lose the Senate... Republicans need to be ready.

The Demonicrats will just crank up their election fraud machine into high gear. Republicans will have to win by over 5 percentage points to overcome the margin of fraud.

As long as we get the RINOs out of there along with the blue scum, we’re good.

MSM is the biggest reason why the DEMS win so easily. They are the propaganda machine for the left.

Remember, for 2014 to be a real victory, it will be more than just giving Republicans control of the senate. It will be BOOTING several RINOS out of office.

The GOP seems to be willing to just sit back and hope that the pendulum swings all by itself.

Getting the “RINOs out” will be the reason we will f’ this all up. Cutting off the nose to spite the face. Never thought of myself as a potential RINO until recently.

I wish we could get excited about this but Pubbies will find a way to blow it, even if they get a majority in the senate. I have no faith in them at all.

I said the exact same thing to my wife this morning. GOP’s “strategy” is to do nothing and hopefully win as a result of Democrat bumbling, incompetence and malfeasance. If they do win, GOP will not have earned the victory. It just fell into their laps in spite of themselves. They will squander any advantage that’s for sure.

Guido — I agree with your observation — that does NOT make you a RINO, only a sensible person.

The only way we win is if we focus on recapturing the Senate to have more Senators with R behind their names so the GOP will have some power to stop Obama. Once we have a solid GOP majority in both Houses of Congress, THEN we can pick off the RINOs one by one, carefully to make sure we keep the majority. But by making “RINO”-s more of our enemies than the leftist Dems, we are just helping the leftist Dems to take more power. It makes one wonder why some people can’t see the obvious.

This email went out today.

We woke up to some tough news this morning:

Washington (CNN) -- Democrats have lost their advantage and Republicans now have a slight edge in the battle for control of Congress, according to a new national poll.

Lavoris -- The latest Republican assault on Obamacare has proven to be dangerously effective. If we don’t respond to Republican smears with the facts right now, the damage to the Affordable Care Act AND our chances in 2014 could be irreversible.

That means we have got to fill this $685,000 hole in our Obamacare Rapid Response Fund by our big FEC fundraising deadline.

Name: Lavoris Dumass

Supporter record: 00000000

Suggested Support: $3.00

Stand with President Obama: Chip in $3 or more to fight back against the coordinated Republican assault >>

This dip in the polls isn't completely unexpected: right now, voters are getting bombarded with anti-Obamacare attacks from the likes of the Koch brothers. To put it simply, we're getting outspent -- BIG TIME.

Here's the good news:

Now that Republicans are trying to take coverage away from millions who've already signed up, we can finally fight this battle on the facts -- not GOP horror stories.

A new poll of battleground races shows that voters support Democrats' plans to implement the Affordable Care Act over Republicans' repeal scheme by 5 points, 49%-44%. If we can close that fundraising gap and have a real debate on a level playing field, we will win.

Can you chip in $3 or more to our Obamacare Rapid Response Fund?

We've got big plans for 2014 -- including an unprecedented voter outreach effort starting earlier than ever before. Together, we can reach new voters and get out the facts on how the Affordable Care Act expands access to care and provides critical protections against insurance company abuses.

It's an aggressive strategy -- but if we can get another 27,000 donations before this year-end deadline, we'll be able to get going. Can we count on your support? Even $3 makes a big difference!

Thanks,

DCCC Rapid Response

TIME TO INCREASE SUPPORT OF OUR CANDIDATES EVEN MORE!!

This is the part that scares me. The regime is darned effective at turning out the entitlements team to the voting booth.

I don’t think we put anything in jeapordy by kicking the woefully unpopular Lindsey Graham out of the senate. What? Is Colbert Busch gonna run for his seat? And how about Mitch McConnell. He is an incumbent RINO who INCREASES our odds of losing because Kentuckians hate his guts.

The last time the GOP had a majority in the Senate we got No Child Left Behind, Medicaid Prescription Drugs and McCain Feingold!

The GOPe are as much an enemy to liberty and small government as the rats are.

"The only way we win is if we focus on recapturing the Senate to have more Senators with R behind their names so the GOP will have some power to stop Obama. ... It makes one wonder why some people can’t see the obvious."

So what do we "win" when those selfsame RINOs (who we help elect, out of sheer desperation) immediately pass "immigration reform" and thus assure no Republican will ever occupy the White House again? Furthermore, those same RINOs will interpret their electoral survival as a "mandate" to continue their leftist agenda. The RINOs do nothing to stop the leftist cancer and everything to stop conservatives.

Can you imagine what kinds of new “goodies” they will come up with if they get a majority? There’s a good chance IMO they will bend over backwards to save Obamacare to show how compassionate they are. Pubbies are clueless fools.
