In other words all 9 voted to slash benefits to disabled vets, while refusing to cut a $4.2 billion additional child credit ‘loophole’ for illegal aliens.

a shutdown like the one in October that generated public anger against Congress, particularly conservative Republicans blamed for the impasse.

Repeat the lie enough times...

What would you expect from incompetent politicians. Their only interest is being elected or re-elected. They are obsessed with power, perks and privilege and care little about Americans and America. Thus they are truly un-American. Power corrupts and they conduct themselves accordingly, corrupt, greedy, selfish, self-serving and immoral.

This pretty much seals the fate of the republican “moderate” party...

Those that voted against this capitulation should consider forming a more conservative party apparatus, and do so now so we can start to rebuild/repair this country...

You might find a few that were coerced into this “deal” that might be salvagable (politically), but should be kept on a short leash for the time being...

Hell, this country is on its way out anyway, there is no more virtue left in numbers to thwart the status quo at this time...Virtue in numbers from the elected officials, to the constituencies that keep voting these capitulators in our government now...

Pride is the biggest speedbump in all of this, no one wants to admit they made a mistake in their “choice” at elections in the last 20-25 years...Therefore, it will take some time for those people to come around...

Peoples conservatism varies from state to state, and where you might find admirable conservatism in some states, others have an entirely different view on the subject, and those that vye for your affections in a campaign season...

Thats why we should consider firing them all, and start over...The system works if you stay within the Constitutional constraints it places upon the Federal government, which in turn should trickle down to the state houses...

But we will all probably be dead and gone before we see an appreciable change in political conduct within those entities...

Might as well start now...

Toon loved to play voter suppression, he must be grinning ear to ear as Obama has played this to perfection. millions of Republican-inclined folk will be nowhere to be seen next November.

Landrieu, La. voted yea. Vitter voted nay. Cassidy (R) La voted yea in the house.

This is why we need Rob Maness to defeat Mary Moon landfill Landrieu.

“Congress has passed a government spending plan without resorting to last-minute brinkmanship such as midnight negotiations to prevent an imminent government shutdown.”

Yeah. The theatrics were wearing thin. The gop and rat factions of the uniparty don’t really differ on the issue anyway.
