SEATTLE
Seattle City Councilmember-elect Kshama Sawant told Boeing machinists her idea of a radical option, should their jobs be moved out of state
The workers should take over the factories, and shut down Boeings profit-making machine, Sawant announced to a cheering crowd of union supporters in Seattles Westlake Park Monday night.

Sawant says after workers take-over the Everett Boeing plant; they could build things everyone can use.
We can re-tool the machines to produce mass transit like buses, instead of destructive, you know, war machines, she told KIRO 7.
A sane country would deport this communist to someplace more suited to her abilities...like a Bangkok brothel.
I'm getting warm from living so close to the meltdown. Time to get some distance, I'm thinking.
What a maroon. If Boeing doesn’t want to build in the Great Northwest, I’m sure there are MANY places in the Sunny South that would greet them with open arms.
The new socialist elected by libs. Boeing is private property and they do have an effective security service.
Will they be paying property taxes on those factories? How do they afford to buy equipment and supplies to build things with? How do they get these products to market and to willing buyers?
Well this is going to be entertaining...
PS - another thing is Boeing has military contracts therefor the government might not take kindly to any sort of activity.
What a freakin’ loon! The idiots who elected “it” are double-freakin’ loons.
This idiot knows its all a lie, right? Or is she one of those true believers who will be among the first sent to the camps?
Does she know how much simply owning those factories would cost in taxes and maintenance? Does she have a clue how much “retooling” it would cost?
How much competition does she think there is for bicycles and buses and stuff she thinks they should be making? Where is their market for these products?
How will she do this paying these workers $15 an hour before a product has even been decided on?
They don’t need The Bosses to put out a fine airplane! They can run the factories perfectly well without all the filthy profit-making capitalistic apparatus through workers’ committees. We could call them soviets.
Boeing should move out and take the machines with them, let the workers have it and put the deed in this morons name, who will owe property taxes and fund the upkeep to keep the buildings up to code.
Sawant, can just buy the factory from Boeing, and make all these peaceful things. Of course, she will find out quickly that she needs to turn a profit, to pay the workers, and maintain the machines. Oh, and she needs to find a city that wants to invest into mass transit, unless she plans on giving this stuff away.
So like we picketed, and when they wouldn't do things our way,
we flipped over on our backs in protest...
That'll show em... (snicker)
Companies manage risk. Let me tell you what just happened. Boeing’s CEO told his people to come up with a plan should this happen. They’ll be fully prepared. The workers will not like what happens next, guaranteed.
They’ll cost Boing some money, but it will ultimately cost them jobs.
You suck, Seattle. Yes you do.
Packard plant Detroit MI. - another worker's paradise.
While I did not have the honor of voting for her as I live outside of Seattle, she is doing a great job of representing her constituents there. Although she may need a geography lesson - the city of Everett is not in Seattle, which she represents.
A great idea though - to go from making planes to metro buses. Probably only take a week or so to rearrange things.
“Parts is parts”.
“A sane country would deport this communist to someplace more suited to her abilities...like a Bangkok brothel.”
This is unfair. Bangkok brothels are much more selective and they don’t want to lose money. She’s a loser.
All Power To The Soviets!
Worked so well in Russia....
