Hard to believe all this happened to one women...
I have never needed anything from the damned VA and I hope I never will. What a disgrace that bunch is.
This stuff does happen, hell it happens in regular hospitals
too. I met a guy at the VA who didn’t have any legs, the
VA had removed them in some kind of mistaken operation
but the fellow told me, “Yeah they took my legs, but
look at what a great scooter they gave me.”
Frankly, if one wants to be apalled they should have
seen the VA 30 years ago! It is better now.
It’s basically Obamacare, but they’ve been doing it
a while so it’s not so bad.
My grandmother died of skin cancer that was curable, but they told her after the biopsy that she was okay. It was the person next to her that was, and by the time my grandmother went back for a 6 month check-up, it was too late. They could do nothing then.
A sad story, my heart goes out to this Woman. I’ve been going to the Salem Virginia VA. for some time, but I’ve notice lately a downgrading of services.

Maybe her case is extreme because of the sum of the horrible experiences, but not any single part is acceptable. NONE.
My horrible VA experience:

No such thing as “care” when it comes to the VA since they are government and staffed mostly by Holder’s people.
And oh-by-the-way, my official complaint, filed with the VA IG, was turned over to be investigated by the very hospital I was complaining about.
Of course they found my charges groundless.
Chop shop I know first hand
I have heard a similar nightmare before, also female patient
I needed a triple bypass and 7 years later three stents. Also cataract surgery in on one eye then and due in March for the other eye.
I, for one, am VERY grateful for the VA and the care I have received at VA hospitals in Asheville & Salisbury, NC, Baltimore, MD and Waco, TX.
(yeah, I know, they should have Zebart'ed me years ago and I wouldn't be rusting out now...)
I’m very glad they took good care of you. Nice to know they can do something right.
My son has been waiting for 25 months on his VA claim decision and it was finally supposed to be final in Oct to Dec but because of the 2 week govt shutdown he got notified it would be another 6 months! Great veteran services here.
She says rape happens all the time. Reporting her rape is what got her in trouble. She became a candidate for torture because she wouldn’t sign a paper saying the rape didn’t happen.

A couple months later she went back, the post op pain was getting worse they gave her stronger pain killers and told her not to worry.
By the time she got to a non-quack it was stage four and she had less then three months to live. It had been stage two leaning toward three and all the surgery did was spread the stuff.
Her husband sued and got a couple million but I am sure he would have preferred to have his wife of twenty four years and mother to their four children back.
Second opinion. Because some doctors don't know their elbow from their rear.
