DENVER, October 21, 2013 (LifeSiteNews.com) Jane Norton, the former head of Colorados Department for Public Health and the Environment (CDPHE), has sued both her former agency and Rocky Mountain Planned Parenthood, alleging that CDPHE officials authorized millions of dollars in payments to the abortion giant in violation of the state constitution, which was amended by popular vote in 1984 to ban both direct and indirect subsidies to abortion providers. A 1986 attempt to repeal the ban was rejected by voters.
Norton, who presided over an investigation and public defunding of the abortion group in the early 2000s, is asking the court to demand the state stop funding Rocky Mountain Planned Parenthood in violation of both the state constitution and her own order barring payments to the group, which she says her successors have chosen to ignore.

We need a Constitutional amendment that forbids government from funding private entities.
Might this hurt Chickenlooper in his reelection.
I do hope that whoever was responsible for breaking the law goes to prison.
There is an instance of $250M missing that Chickenpooper had refused to audit. How much of our tax money goes to support demoRats election bids?
I guess they’re not really getting that the Constitution provides us with the protection against being forced to participate in murder.
Jane Norton was the GOP-e primary opponent of Ken Buck. It looks like she is doing some good now. Anybody finding corruption and doing something about it is to be commended.
Amen to that!
Getting pro-lifers upset will hurt anybody's re-election chance.
Though Colorado has recently taken a bit out of the Gun-Control state Senators...
They ought to make an issue of this funding as part of the third re-call effort. Even though it is not about gun-control, it is about government corruption...
Some Colorado state officials and PP staff members should face criminal charges, and, if found guilty, face some lengthy time in a state prison design to house hardened criminals.
Colorado Ping ( Let me know if you wish to be added or removed from the list.)
Well, the ultra-leftist “Colorado Ethics Watch” sure can’t be expected to do anything about such abuses! We should commend Jane.
Thanks for the ping, george76.
More Progressive evil exposed.
Where the hell is ‘accountability’? I agree those involved should be prosecuted. I also believe we need to file a RICO law suit against Planned Parenthood and the Democrats involved in this.
It’s not that they don’t get “it’s against the law” it’s that they don’t care because they believe they can get away with it with no ramifications to their actions.
