ObamaDeath costs more than private insurance you can already buy, so what does ObamaDeath provide you if you are laid off that doesn’t already exist? I think your ignorance and gullibility to listen to the general liberal chatter that no one can get insurance except through their employer is showing very well.

I do see where you're coming from although I oppose Obongocare since a lot of our jobs are going away. I know myself, I'm a bit of a mercenary, I'll do what it takes to bring money in and survive much like the guy who called into Rush the other day where his only option is Medicaid since his company is dropping coverages due to Obongocare. So in a way, Obongocare creates more problems as well. It is the snake eating its own tail. It should not be this way. Myself, I would have down medical reform differently.

I'd eliminate duplicate programs and for those who are truly needy, maybe expand Medicaid for those folks but I would leave those who have health insurance on their own, through work or those who chose not to, continue on a they are. Better yet, I'd have mean tested vouchers for those who need health insurance instead of expanding Medicaid and although I know I might get taken to task for this, I do see a need to fix the pre-existing condition problem. However, the way the law is now, it is just setting us up for death panels and a single payer system and we all lose. I know the Democrats and Obummer "stole our bike" on this one. Ideally, we need to bring our jobs back.

I think people will be disappointed who want Sdn Cruz to work on messaging.
Politicians have been schmoozing for the media and messaging since it became the media for their messaging

Any true conservative will get through to his audience. Anyedia outlet will distort it

His party will need to support him. He can’t do it alone not against this crowd.

They can get the message out

If his own party can’t do it; if they can’t support him(and they can’t - the secret is out - they are the worst enemy of conservatives) then they are whom needs to be dealt with

But Sen Cruz has enough to do

Fighting the quixotic battle of getting a message through conservative pundits who work to distort his message as well as liberal media would be a foolish endeavor sure to pull anyone off track and suck one into that vortex they all get pulled into

Cruz played to the base, but pushed the country farther away. We have this stupid notion that all we have to do is shut down the Feds for a couple days and the nation will magically come over to our side, we don't even need to make a case. Twice now we've been badly burned by it.

There's no need to quit, but can we look for a new tactic instead?

Cruz didn’t play anything. Not the base and not politics.

Cruz did not shut down the government.

WE have this crazy notion that the media and the electorate will somehow like conservates.

So there’s no use in trying that.

And there is no use in waiting for the moment in which they do like conservatives before making a move.

There is a crazy notion that there is some way to follow the constitution and not get maligned; that if Cruz had done something different he wouldn’t be getting blamed; or that he’s getting blamed because of the WAY he did this.

The only way for Cruz to not get hated by the left is for him to sit down and hope they like him. You know, what the RINOs do.

But anyone calling for Senator Cruz to be smarter is simply not paying attention.

So what did Cruz get, for all his speechifying? What did Cruz get, for all his advocating that the House members hold fast?

Cruz raised his own profile, and tons of cash. But did he get anything else done, in exchange for falling Republican numbers? And if not, why would we want him to do this all again?

I’ve long defended Cruz from birther venom, and swore I would vote for him, but now I need to see that he’s interested in more than getting his name in the papers.

Did you mean that Senator Cruz should have done his defense of the Constitution in a way some other Republican (or Democrat) has done it recently?

Is there a particular figure he should be looking to as a role model? that does seem to be your point.

What’s even more unfortunate is that to their terrible record Cruz has added another blunder, and in the process damaged our ability to take the Senate. Fortunately there’s enough time to fix the damage, lest we lose the House as well.

What should he do? I don’t know. But another shutdown should not be on the table: we’re 0-2 where those are concerned.

If your right, and we need to bypass the media then We need to get on Democratic mailing lists.

We need to send their members explanations of our policy’s and it might even do us well the first time ti dicises it as theirs. We need our own John McCain in their party.
