Pay attention.
Cruz didn’t play anything. Not the base and not politics.
Cruz did not shut down the government.
WE have this crazy notion that the media and the electorate will somehow like conservates.
Never going to happen.
So there’s no use in trying that.
And there is no use in waiting for the moment in which they do like conservatives before making a move.
There is a crazy notion that there is some way to follow the constitution and not get maligned; that if Cruz had done something different he wouldn’t be getting blamed; or that he’s getting blamed because of the WAY he did this.
The only way for Cruz to not get hated by the left is for him to sit down and hope they like him. You know, what the RINOs do.
But anyone calling for Senator Cruz to be smarter is simply not paying attention.
So what did Cruz get, for all his speechifying? What did Cruz get, for all his advocating that the House members hold fast?
Cruz raised his own profile, and tons of cash. But did he get anything else done, in exchange for falling Republican numbers? And if not, why would we want him to do this all again?
