The GOP is the party of ObamaCARE/RomneyCARE,
aiding al Qaeda, imposing gay marriage,
protecting Obama corruption (and lack of documentation),
and open borders and Amnesty. SSDD.

The Republican Party is dead. Long live Tea Party advocacy!

Will somebody here on FR please provide a rational argument as to why I should remain a Republican?

The answer is: You shouldn't. At the very least, you should change your voter registration to "unenrolled" or "independent."

If you are in a state where there will be a true conservative running in a Republican primary against a RINO, and there is no open voting, that would be a reason to stay registered as a Republican at least for that one election cycle.

Otherwise, to Hell with the Republican Party. Go in good health.

One thing

EBT

Shut them down and all out chaos ensues

Easiest way to control any opposition

because who wants the responsibility for all that?

I’m not going to change my registration. But I will do my best to contribute to Tea Party candidates across the country.

They are in the process of folding on the debt ceiling and obamacare. Once they finally fold on immigration reform they will have completely committed suicide. And taken the republic down with them.

We are headed through the looking glass. The GOP as we have known it is irrelevant to what is coming. Pray, look up, and do what you can to get ready for hard times.

Admin Moderator,

Sir, would you please repost my opinion piece to the appropriate forum - I am told this should be on the “Blogger” forum - not here.

Thank You.

No proof to give here. Well stated in fact.

I am now in favor of creating a national 3rd party. If folks like Limbaugh, Hannity, Palin, Cruze, Lee, Paul, etc. would come together and organize a roll-out of a new party called “Conservatives”. There would be some that could immediately switch parties and a whole host of folks that could run on a new ticket with the right platform and leadership. The GOP would have no influence over candidates. The GOP Brand is toast now and likely for a long time. They no longer stand for anything.

It can’t be called the “Tea Party” however. And we might split tickets for an election cycle or two. But I don’t think we really have anything left to lose. We can’t win the next few election cycles anyway. This would certainly accomplish what you are proposing anyway. Rinos would most certainly be the ones most affected by splitting tickets. They’d be gone one way or another.

At least this way, there is one true conservative party as long as we can put the right leadership in place for it. BUT DON’T LET THE MEDIA ASSOCIATE IT WITH THE TEA PARTY. Let the Tea-Party supporters continue the grass roots efforts as they/we have. They are hard to target and infiltrate as they are now. Don’t screw that up.

The GOP considers patriots “exotics”

They long to be Democrat party Mark II.

Let them do it and let them lose every election until a Conservative Party finally wins. I hope that our few TEA Party Republicans come over to the new Party and leave the RINO’s stuck in the mudhole of their own making.

You say he’s a traitor, he’ll claim he’s a hero for bringing back $2 billion to KY. We’ll see which the voters believe.

I cannot tell you what to do. I am looking for a third party to join myself.

The RINO Republicans can kiss my ass, to the others I hope they also join the third party when it forms./

Here is the rational “positive” argument, per your request:
If you wish to promote conservative policies through government, you should become extremely active in your local Republican Party and work your way into a position of influence. Take over the Republican Party from within, and change it into an effective conservative juggernaut, rather than an empty, leaderless, self-serving exponent of Big Gubmint Lite.

Here is the rational “negative” argument: A purely conservative third party cannot win national elections right now. By supporting no party or a third party, you will feel better about yourself, but division of any voting bloc to the right of communists guarantees victory for the leftists (remember how Ross Perot put Billary Clinton into office). The US will collapse sooner, but you might not be sent to the death camps in the first wave. They will need time to dig up your old voting records.

May the ‘distinguished gentleman Mr. McConnell’, go for a leisurely stroll near a lovely wooded area of his State, where by Divine appointment, a particular critter of Biblical lowliness happens to be about, elects to stand its ground and impart its own affection, towards the illustrious gentleman.

I can think of no reason you should stay in the Dem-lite party. Your thoughts were well stated and you have obviously been doing some soul searching.

I have to keep my comments short right now, because in my current mood, I would probably get in some trouble with our “watchers” in the government for what I would really like to say.

About the best reason to remain a registered Republican, or, at least, a supporter of Republicans is still the clear and present danger presented by the Progressive Left in total control of the Democrat franchise.

Another reason is, the Hastert Rule notwithstanding, the number of Republican House members who voted against that steaming pile of CR last night outnumbered those who did.

Another reason for hope, perhaps, is not-so-long-ago history, when the Progressives and their media cohorts were not so much censoring "the other side," they did not believe there was any "other side."

Ronald Reagan changed that, and the Internet echos that change even now.

The fight must be carried down to the local level, and we must abandon all illusions of "media" respect. We are the media now, much like it was before newspaper chains.

You can raise more money but you can't raise more time. Every day that passes going into the next two election cycles is more valuable than the one before. Small efforts now can snowball and crest on election day.

Prayer, and love of the truth, warts and all, should never be our last resort.

How about taking cover under a strong God.

As well as recommending the whole GOP do the same.

Even Democrats are welcome, if they dare.
