Lee: Establishment GOP Waged 'All-Out Attack' Against Cruz, Myself

In an interview on Salem Radio's Hugh Hewitt Show, Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) revealed that in a conference meeting of Republican Senators earlier this week, a group of Republicans waged an "all-out attack" on himself and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX):

Hewitt: There was, allegedly, a Republican Senate conference earlier this week where your colleague Ted Cruz took a lot of slings and arrows. Were you there, Sen. Lee?

Lee: Yes, Yes! I was there and normally I don't comment at all on closed door meetings among Republican Senators. It's a pretty strict rule we follow. The one exception I'll make is in circumstances like this one where the contents of the meeting were leaked, deliberately, by several of my colleagues and leaked in a very one-sided way so I'm happy to tell you about it here.

Hewitt: Please do

Lee: It was an all-out attack against Ted Cruz and me. It was unflattering, it was unfair, it was demeaning. It was demeaning to Senator Ted Cruz and to me, but more than anything it was demeaning to those who engaged in the attack.

Hewitt: How many Senators rose to speak against you guys?

Lee: Quite a few, enough that I lost count. And you know I have to ask the question, you know, why were those who leaked this, and leaked this in a very unflattering, unfavorable way, why were they not willing to attach their names to those quotes?

You know Ted Cruz and I spoke after the meeting and we both concluded we would both be fine with the American people hearing and seeing exactly what we said in that meeting. But we're pretty sure that most of our colleagues would be very uncomfortable, and downright embarrassed if their constituents saw the way they were

When John McCain went to congress the national debt was $1,142,034,000,000.00. Today it is $16,747,468,275,799.27. Maybe it’s time Mr McCain got over himself and started doing the job that he campaigned for.

Cornyn is the elite in my state. I’ll vote for a democrat or stay home before I vote for him. He’s a phony s.o.b. He’s a republican liberal claiming to be a conservate. That’s no different that a democrat liberal claiming to be a conservative. They’re both just trying to get elected.

The goal of the corporatist/globalists which RINOs and demos agree on is to ‘cost shift’ medical expense onto the govt. through this mandatory program. Just like the coal companies and black lung—they funded the black lung program to let the feds take over their expense.

They’ve been on the job.. too long, and are part of the problem.

I am with you on your take of what goes on in Washington. The young blood has been soiled by the kikes of Soros and his wide spread henchmen including the press. I strongly suspect that McCain has a lot of dirt in his closet. It surprises me that that young citizens are not standing for Cruz and Lee but I guess that ball games, casinos, weird concerts and other activities cannot/must not get into true realization of what so many young people of their age died for. My brother who was 20 years old was killed on Okinawa and I was only 4 months behind for the invasion of Japan.

If you really want their attention this is how ya do it.

Emails get through and are being read. Cruz/Lee and a handful of other Senators could use our help.

It is apparent that there is conflicted money controlling some senators such as McCain and his bopsy partner. As far as I believe , Cruz and Lee and friends should really open up this can of worms and make them all crawl in their own slime. Some will argue that it is no way to keep a strong opposition. I will argue it is more like going in after cancerous cells.

We absolutely know that there are a large element of GOP senators who just love the power and perks of the office. Mike Lee and Ted Cruz are doing yeoman’s work.

This is just stage one. We’re winning.

There’s only so much time in the day and the legislative schedule is swamped. Keep up the pressure, but don’t bolt.

Even the progressives know we’re winning:

The RINOs know where their voters are or they'd be willing to come out and give us their opinions in public. They want these behind the scenes, closed door deals to conspire against the American public.

We've got to get these slugs out of office.
