Perhaps the focus on Bambi should be expanded. The whole Rat party needs to be discredited.

Joe knows that his job is on the line over this mess. I write him letters (I know him) shaming him for not staying true to his upbringing. I’ve invited him to change parties because he was not raised to believe in killing babies, or taking folks guns, or approving of gay marriage. He knows better, and he knows that the people in WV are social conservatives.

So how does delaying the bill help anyone but the Democrats to give them a clear shot at 2013?

Wouldn't the same thing happen if we DEFUND ObamaCare? I mean, if ObamaCare were defunded would the dems give credit to the Conservatives for the drastic drop in the unemployment rate?. I don't think so.

If WINNING elections is more important than the well-being of this nation, why not let ObamaCare stay?

Dick Durbin once cheered the falling of the stock market and stated that if the stock market would only drop a few hundred more points the democrats may be able to pick up at least six seats in Congress.

We don't need no more Dick Durbins.

Yes. As long as they get their committee vice-chair and other coveted assignments, the RINOs are happy to be in the minority. It spares them from actually having to work and fight for any conservative cause.
See 1955-1995 for reference.

The dreaded ‘consultants’ have the GOP-e by the cojones. Even if the GOP takes the Senate, what good will it do, if it’s full of McLames, Corkers, and Mark Kirks?

BTW, I predict a Hilldebeast-Krispykreme “national unity” ticket for 2016.
Booty and the Beast.

I’ve invited him [Joe Manchin] to change parties because he was not raised to believe in killing babies, or taking folks guns, or approving of gay marriage. He knows better...

Then, why doesn't he do it? What keeps him from following his better instincts?

The way West Virginia is trending, he has to know that he could be re-elected as a Republican.

I wonder if it might be a resistance to the internal workings of the GOP -- status quo, ossified, irresolute and without any dynamic. Placeholders without an agenda, fixated on internal politics, concerned only with maintaining their current position and prestige.

I wonder if new leadership for the party -- committed to actually doing something worthwhile -- might not provide it with a platform for growth.

Like back in 2005 when Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid continued their daily mantra that Bush's and the republican controlled House & Sanete's 4.7% unemployment rate was the worst economy since Herbert Hoover. In 2006, they won.

Unfortunately the only predictions being heard come from the democrat side of the aisle whether they are the minority party or the majority.

Republicans need to be out there SELLING their ideas, use facts and discredit the democrats' every word they utter.

When Reid and Pelosi controlled both houses they still blamed the republicans for every negative thing happening in the country and they will continue to blame republicans.

While I support Cruz and the shut down of the government if the democrats think they are going to get their way I also know that deep down inside the democrats, including Pelosi, Reid and Obama are also hoping there is a government shut down. They want the shutdown to happen. They want to use it as an issue for the 2014 election. They're going to blame the republicans for the shutdown, that's why they want it to happen. They see how terribly the republican leadership sells their ideas to the American people, they know the republican leadership will not fight back against all their lies. The democrats see THIS as a winning issue for 2014.

Question is, if there is a shutdown, will the republican leadership discredit the democrats OR will they go on an apology tour to America?

Predict that!

It is not fair to allow the individual mandate to be put into play if the business mandate is delayed.

House Republicans on Saturday pushed the government to the edge of a partial shutdown next week, insisting that President Barack Obama’s health care law be delayed a year in defiance of White House and the Democratic-controlled Senate.

It's a lie.

The president is threatening a shutdown.

The house just funded all of government.

The president's personal pet project is so full of waivers and exemptions that his temper tantrum over one more waiver is childish.

Everyone in the world knows this monstrosity isn't ready for prime time, but they're letting him get away with acting like a child.

Notice the wording of this AP article.

The Republicans are “Defiant” and “Rejected” The senate.

When it truth this started in the house and the Democrats An d the Senate were Defiant and Rejected the House bill.

You just gotta love that MSM propaganda staring you right in the face. And most little sheeple can’t even see it.

Why can Obama just delay one part of the ‘Law’ but Congress can’t?

......This is a standard democrat vote buying operation........Once obamacare is implemented the fight will end......

Yep. Hope Boehner holds tough on this one, regardless of what Obama or the Senate does.

The longer this Bill is put under scrutiny the more it is seen as a diaster!

The Democrats don't want any delay, they are already catching heat for the medical surcharge.

Personally, I think it is stupid and unprincipled.

Stupid for two reasons:

1) It gives them another whole year to sink their hooks in good and deep before they strangle the remaining economic life out of the country.

2) The political cost is identical to what it would be if they simply refuse to use the purse strings of the House to fund one dime for this monstrosity.

And of course it is unprincipled all the way around because there is not a single article of the Constitution that authorizes this sort of socialism in the first place.

To vote for this is a breach of the sacred oath of office.

Andrew McCarthy wrote a brilliant column here...

The Republicans should do them one better by FULLY FUNDING the border fence while at the same time defunding Obamacare. Again.
