Whether the United States should intervene in Syria is open to debate, but one thing is settled: that red line the president and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton drew in the sand last year has faded into invisibility. In an interview broadcast today on CNN, President Obama called this weeks reports of a chemical weapons attack something that is going to require Americas attention.
National Security Advisor Susan Rice gave Syria some of her attention today in a pair of tweets, demanding an immediate investigation into those gas attacks, or else. Or else what? Or else well just have to assume President Bashar al-Assad is guilty. Again.
> What is Bashar al Assad hiding? The world is demanding an independent investigation of Wednesdays apparent CW attack. Immediately. -- Susan Rice (@AmbassadorRice) August 23, 2013
> Otherwise, well all conclude that Assad is guilty and lying-again. -- Susan Rice (@AmbassadorRice) August 23, 2013

The replies are appropriate, and worth reading.
A whole lot of WMD marked “Made in Iraq”.
Susan Rice, the Communist idiot.
Typical Obama appointee.
“Tweets”? From what is called the national security adviser?
This is no way for mature people to run a government. Wait, these are not mature people, they are muslim infiltrators and communists.
What are you trying to hide Susan Rice? I demand an independent investigation. Otherwise we’ll all assume you are guilty and lying...
Now I guess I’ll go read some comments.
Wasn't the Kenyan golfing at the time?
Ezra Levant and Iowahawk are especially funny on this.
So, is this like GWB attention in Iraq? Saddam only gassed a couple of hundred thousand and Bush was a criminal for stopping him.
Come on Obama, take it to congress.
Iowahawk is on fire with this one!

“@AmbassadorRice You’ll know he’s hiding something when he goes on 5 Sunday talk shows and says he has no chemical weapons.”
CLASSIC!!!!

Analysis || After Syrian chemical attack, Obama opts for ‘Tomahawk diplomacy’
http://www.haaretz.com/news/middle-east/.premium-1.543350
If the U.S. decides it has no choice but to respond, it will have to destroy targets such as the Brigade 155 missile base west of Damascus where the chemical rockets most likely originated. The Tomahawk will be the agent of its destruction.
By Anshel Pfeffer | 21:22 24.08.13 | 5
Just like many other weapons systems, the Tomahawk missile was originally designed for a very different target from that for which it was eventually used. The cruise missile (which the American administration has refused in the past to supply to Israel) was envisaged in the 1970s to be used from submarines and land-based silos to carry relatively small nuclear warheads against Soviet bloc targets but a few years...
Lol, “ambassador” rice?
I’m sure she has five talk show junkets lined up.
And what is an administration drone doing on twitter anyway?
Aren’t there far more pressing things for their attention?
Gee, I dunno, like closing the swiss cheese borders, Benghazi, fast and furious, NSA domestic spying, IRS political targeting, and the administrations continuing efforts to curtail or cease guaranteed amendment rights?
If the cause exists, it would be nice to follow the Constitution just once and have Congress declare war.
I can only conclude that cause does not exist, so therefore, Congress would not declare war.
Therefore, the King may proclaim that our troops will be placed in harms way in the middle of a conflict that has little to do with American interests, but everything to do with supporting the Muslim Brotherhood.
Syria: Barack Obama’s lack of action has had predicted consequences
Barack Obama had options when it came to acting on Syria. But he has actively chosen not to do anything, with consequences that many predicted, writes Peter Foster.
The truth is, the President of the United States has a major credibility problem, and everyone from Middle Eastern tyrants to the lowliest White House intern knows it.

The Obama administration has been a den of perpetual lies.
There’s no specific language for a declaration of war, so yes, the US has declared war.
It’s highly unlikely that Zero will send in troops under the war powers act. It was pretty unlikely before, but after the MBs got their asses kicked in Egypt, it became much less likely.
Plus, he’s just so darned budget conscious:
On Syria, Obama says no rush toward costly interventions
