The “Student/Parent/Principal Contract For Eliminating Guns and Weapons at School” was sent as part of the district’s registration packet for the 2013-2014 school year.

Under the contract, parents must agree to teach “…including by personal example, my teenager about the dangers and consequences of the misuse of guns and weapons and I will keep any guns and all weapons under lock and away from school grounds and away from my children.”

1) Guns are bad! Run and scream if you see one! Report it and it's owner to the authorities immediately!

2) The school should stick to teaching the 3 Rs and keep their noses out of the parents' homes.

I would burn it, publically, and start a gun club on school grounds and enjoy their fighting me on it. I would then offer free training to any kid of that school bringing in professionals, not emoting liberals, to speak about the issue properly. I would take them to gun ranges to both fire weapons and compete and also see wepons demos.

I would reply to them asking what this has to do with The Three R’s

sopcialist teaching about guns gets deep- I had a nanny from Portugal who was in mortal fear of my guns when she came here. She said she never would have come if she knew I had them. But she was sweet and nice and my family loved her.

After seeing them, and seeing how they did not jump up and attack her, and how casual I was about owning them, and how much safety we practiced, she came to love shooting, and can’t remember why she was so afraid before- except that it was all she heard all her life.

In her country she would have run to the authorities and reported any gun she saw (not anymore, she said)

The time has for government run schools to be replaced with something that the parents run.

The Second Amendment should not be ignored or violated ... in any way.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

He [district superintendant] said that the contract was written years ago, and although officials do review the registration materials, the contract slipped through the review process.

Getting pushback so now this is a 'mistake'? Written 'years ago'? Bullcr@p.

“parents must agree to teach”...”Must” is compulsion...

A contract is a binding, voluntary agreement entered into freely by both/every party to the contract...

This is not a contract; it’s coercion... The practice of forcing another party to act in an involuntary manner by use of intimidation or threats or some other form of pressure or force...

Coercion is a principal tool of the Left...Ideas so good they have to be mandatory...

Progs!...GFY, indeed!

Arizona is an open carry state.

How about the school sign a contract stating they will ensure they protect my childs safety at all times from the bus pick-up until they get back home? Mine was left out of state on a road trip when they did not do a head count on the bus when they decided to leave earlier than first stated. Or a contract about not politicizing events? or behaviors? Or a no-propaganda promise. just stick to the un-biased facts?

Dear School,

You focus on teaching my kids the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

I’ll provide any necessary firearms training.

I’m not signing anything besides this letter!

All school districts should be required to integrate an Eddie Eagle GunSafe® Program into their curriculums.

So it’d be ok if I write up a contract for the school that they must agree to otherwise I don’t have to pay my property taxes right?

This is coercive, compelling you to do something...

Little fascists!

So you would be comfy with a teen gang member thug toting a loaded gun on campus? That happened at another Tucson school last year and again at another Tucson school last week. In the incident last year, the thug was reported. In the incident last week, the thug’s gun discharged in the restroom.

When did you stop beating your mom? C’mon man..tell me.

Now, THATS a loaded question is it not? How about rephrasing your question to try even a little bit to sound like your not trying to put someone on the defensive of a dumb assertion?

Lol

You’re not very astute. I reacted to your post with emotion. That should have clued you in that I am female. I am sensitive about guns in the hands of criminal thugs on Tucson high school campuses. I think this school district is stupid for thinking this contract will do anything to stop a teen thug from bringing a gun to school.

A gun club would be popular at these schools. My son worked at a shooting range, and there were teens who showed up wanting to learn to shoot. We found that amusing since these teens showing up were known drug dealers. One of these boys kept after my son for months about taking him to shoot.

And do we think those kids wouldn’t have brought guns to school if their parents had signed a pledge?
