Sarah Palin: Christie Is Not 'Rogue' Enough
Newsmax ^ | 8/10/2013 | Todd Beamon

Posted on 08/11/2013 3:10:29 AM PDT by IbJensen

Former GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin said on Saturday New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie just isn't "rogue" enough for her taste.

Palin sided with Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul in his continuing feud with the popular New Jersey governor.

“I’m on team Rand," Palin told Fox News. "Rand Paul understands. He gets the whole notion of 'don’t tread on me government.' Whereas Chris Christie is for big government and trying to go-along-to-get-along in so many respects."

-snip-

... she dismissed Obama's comments about greater transparency regarding the National Security Agency and its surveillance operations at his news conference on Friday.

"There is no balance at all in this struggle for security and liberty when we have an illustration going on today about our government having lied about it, our government actually spying on innocent Americans and gathering data on us based on our communications, which really is a violation of our Fourth Amendment rights. There's no balance at all.

"That is stomping, trampling, a boot-on-the-neck of our liberty," she added. "That's not balance."

Palin also noted that former NSA subcontractor Edward Snowden, who leaked information about the surveillance programs, was "the bad guy in all this. They want to shoot the messenger instead of dealing with the problem.

"The problem is the trampling on our liberty, the trampling on our Fourth Amendment rights."

Christie may be obese, but he is not a big man. He has crawled off into a corner and has cloaked himself into the skin of a rino. I believe that Sarah Palin and Rand Paul are genuine articles representing hope for America. America's enemy number one is off to Martha's Vineyard for holiday which he considers his due for trashing the nation and its people. Those who gather about him and utter accolades are our enemy's army.

Many say that Christie is the Republican Party's best hope to bet Hillary Clinton. Hillary Clinton? A true American, steeped in the Constitution and knowledgeable in the evils perpetrated by this old bag and her disgusting spouse would make mincemeat out of her. Christie is poison lite.

The Republican Party has committed suicide. It is a shadow of its formal self and I say good riddance. From its ashes should rise a party that will do battle against Democrats who are today's forces of evil.

I expect Christie to come back with some snarky ramarks about Sarah - something like "she can see Russia from her house."

Not rogue enough? Christie is another “Obamaidephile” politician who dreams to walk on air, never feel pain of contradiction, always highly viewing himself and always right no matter how cruel or controling in debilitating manner to his or her victims. In fact he might want to learn to do it gay like Obama and is another perfect government type.

Sarah would be more effective if she stayed above the fray and focused on issues instead of individual personalities in the Republican Party. In fact labels such as “rogue” and “maverick” are a distraction.

Ronald Reagan was successful because he talked about big ideas. He spoke of a vision for the country, he consistently demonstrated his pride in the country and its accomplishments, and he never apologized for either loving his country or loving liberty.

For a conservative to win she or he must rise above the petty politics of personality and speak directly to the American people about a vision of America as a great country with free people. She should illustrate how things will be better if the yoke of government can be removed from the people. Reagan never sounded mean spirited because he focused on ideas and not people.

The establishment wants to trap conservatives into playing the mean nasty game of petty partisan politics. Sarah, Cruz, Lee, and Paul should define new rules and play by them. If they stay true to their principles and refuse to play in the mud, the American people will take notice and respect them. Let Christie be who he is and don’t waste time trying to define him. Spend the time talking about the potential of this nation to be great again.

The problem with rising above disturbing political personalities and lifting opinion above smallness to speak of big ideas is that Americans are incredibly more stupid than they were during Reagan’s terms.

As unbelievable and scary as it sounds the dumbing down of American intellect has been going forward at full speed night and day. It makes progressives deliriously happy but scares the hell out of the rest of us who still possess functioning brains.

A conservative has little chance to win if that 2012 primary is any example. The perfect conservative is the enemy of “the good-enough conservative who can win”

I would like to see Palin go on record as opposing any spying on any private citizen in the U.S. under any circumstances. That would create a clear difference between Conservatives and the Democrats.

I rarely listen to Rush anymore but did catch a few minutes one day last week.

Rush was talking about obamatollah’s gaffes & lies and how the media covers up for him.

He then stated as a fact Sarah’s comments of “seeing Russia from her house” when it was Tina Fey who made that statement. It was not the first time Rush has made this statement of “fact” and clearly shows animosity toward Sarah.

Rush is just another establishment GOP these days who chose to not renounce Romney as a RINO, pushed Rubio even as he was supporting amnesty and is apparently still mad at Sarah for choosing Mark Levin to announce she was not running for President.

Nobody on the conservative bandwagon is looking for perfect. We seek a candidate with a record of moving the political football toward the conservative goalpost. Like Sarah and Newt have.

We lost 2012 because open primaries in blue states allowed demorats to pick our loser.

Enough of the "perfect" lie. The lesser of two evils is a lesser evil, and I will not vote for evil.

You are right. It’s time to close Republican primaries to Republican voters registered at least one year.

Watch John Kerry in his debate with George W. and you will see the condescension and disapproval dripping from his demeanor. It is time we started treating these socialist progressives in similar fashion.

Many of Christie's classic moments were, in fact, set-up with what Palin called a “YouTube videographer.”

Christie certainly squashed the shark with that dumb move.

I guess that was to help his campaign for president or something. Dumb move.

newfreep has it totally wrong. Rush did exactly the opposite. Are you trolling ? Kinda hard to give the benefit of the doubt on a complete misrepresentation by newfreep.

Exactly! Sarah and Cruz move the ball down the field. Rand and Scott Walker zig zag a bit but in the right direction overall.

The likes of mittens, jeb and krispy with the help of rove kiss up to the MSM to play it safe and so they are continually tackled in their own end zone in the final crunch, and then blame others that their safety play saying that it is all the fault of Conservatives for failing to fight for more liberalism.

FUMR, FUJB, FUCC, and FUKR.

Sorry but my statement of Rush’s comments are 100% accurate.

The fact you posted a “general comment” without specifics speaks volumes of your “trolling”.

A “newfreep”?

Considering I joined FR loooong before you is another indication of your shallow and inaccurate comments.
