The official name of Onkel Adolf's party was the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei. That translates to National Socialist German Workers' Party.
So, it was Socialist, and thus, by definition, left-wing.
And it referred to "workers", whatever they are (you don't work, do you?).
Left-wing propaganda is big on on workers, and, more recently, middle class, whatever they are, and "progress", whatever it is.
