I wonder if McCain, in a quiet moment, ever thinks about how insane he sounds?

But it will get Johnny a pat on the head and a belly rub from Uncle Democrat. That always makes his tail wag in excitement. “Good boy Johnny; now stop jumping and barking.”

Heaven forbid that McCain think about what’s best for the country! He’s just a self-serving jerk.

“Let’s say we enact it, comprehensive immigration reform, I don’t think it gains a single Hispanic voter,” McCain said in an interview with PBS’s Gwen Ifill. “But what it does, it puts us on a playing field where we can compete for the Hispanic voter.”

My thoughts as well. What reason do we upfront give away our country to compete for some foreign votes.

if I was as old as McCain and had my mind damaged by the North Vietnamese I wouldn’t care either if I screwed America forever via this amnesty giving Democrats a permanent majority. John McCain has no principles. For him there is no good or bad, he just want have people like him and kiss his arse in Washington DC which he has been addicted to for years
Two years ago just to win a primary McCain came off as an immigration hardliner. The stupid voters were fooled by this

Then why do it?
If the GOP want to get votes, do what's right for the country rather than pander to the opposition who would never vote (R) under any circumstances anyway.

RE :”
Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) conceded on Monday that Republicans will not win one new Hispanic voter over by passing a comprehensive immigration reform bill. “Let's say we enact it, comprehensive immigration reform, I don't think it gains a single Hispanic voter,” McCain said in an interview with PBS’s Gwen Ifill. “But what it does, it puts us on a playing field where we can compete for the Hispanic voter.”
McCain has made comments indicating comprehensive immigration reform will not win over Hispanics, but he has also suggested that comprehensive immigration reform is a type of “gateway issue” that Republicans need to pass for Hispanics to consider voting for Republicans. “ Keep in mind that Mccain never said the above before Rubio and he got the Senate/Schumer amnesty bill passed, he waited till after. He and Grahamnesty always phrased it in a way that sounding like the GOP would get votes from passing it which we knew to be false.
So now that he is being a bit more honest he and Grahamnsety should tell us exactly what the GOPs positions must be to get Hispanics to vote GOP.
But they wont.
You see that Obama selected a special envoy of McCain and Grahamnsety to go to Egypt and pitch democracy?/

One of three reasons why McCain has been acting extra-McCain lately. Either
A: NSA info and extortion.
B: True colors shining through as time's winged chariot closes in on McCain's tenure.
C: Age-inflicted mental meltdown.
To: bestintxas
So, at last the Senator has granted us at least some little insight as to his thinking, if one can call it that.
While finally admitting the obvious, that this acceptance of the populist invasion of the United States by a lawless horde, even to the point of aiding them in becoming citizens who become good Democrats, is based on the fear of losing "Hispanics" wholesale, just as the GOP lost 95 percent and more of the descendants of slavery (who were nearly all, at one time, Republicans).
Too high a price to pay in what is probably a vain effort to aid an established political party at the expense of our national interests.
He really has deep contempt for the Conservative base, believing Conservatives must choose between the Republicans and our nation.
