Looking for a reasonably "official" summary of the Draconian Gun Laws enacted in Maryland 2013.
Has the law been delayed until 2014?
Maryland? Oooh.
It likely says only conservatives are allowed to own firearms and only if their intent is suicide.

I feel for you. Ignorance of the law doesn’t count as an excuse but your have to do a lot of research to figure out what those laws are. The reasonable expectation would be that there should be a .gov site.
All the laws are intended for law-abiding, gun-owning citizens.
None of the laws apply to criminals.

Excuse me, but I am well aware that ex post facto laws are Unconstitutional. The pols who write blatantly Unconstitutional laws are the ignorant ones.

I looked it up once. Number 13 has posted it.
It refers over and over to laws already on the books and changes made to them. It would take a Philadelphia Lawyer a week to look up all the references and decide what was changed and how it was changed.
In other words it is written in Lawyerlese so that you and I cannot understand it.
Basically it outlaws a mess of guns in October, and stops a lot of people from buying guns without telling their life history.
The only good part is that veterans are let off the hook mostly.
State Senator Nancy Jacobs made a nice summary of the final bill after it passed. I am trying to find that again.
Laws that are unconstitutional and beg to be tested.

My Senator Roy Dyson voted against it.
So did Johnny Wood.
She is pro 2nd amendment and of course voted against the bill. I believe she is still the minority whip.
