That’s not the real choice though, is it?

The government can’t find its a$$ with both hands ...no need to spy on citizens...do a bit of profiling and leave me and mine alone.

it does not follow that you must spy one every single citizen and grab every single communication. the more hay you gather, the worse your chances of finding the needle.

I think I’ll go with Rand. The NSA domestic spying is appalling.

So you’d rather have all your communications unlawfully monitored... because the idiots in DC won’t turn the heat up on the source of terror, Islam?

That “religion of peace?”

IMO, the revelations of the NSA’s agenda and actions show that Bush and Cheney were handmaidens of totalitarianism. Rand Paul is one of the few who has had the spine to stand up to totalitarian busybodies who talk a great game about “fighting terrorism,” but do precious little about it - other than grope us, bug us and censor us.

Cheney is wrong on this. There is NO reason for this program. Even if it is well intended it is still wrong and we both know this data will be abused. This isn’t a Left vs Right issue. It is a Constitutional issue. There is no way in hell the Founding Fathers would condone this crap. Keep drinking the Kool-Aid, but be carefull you just might spill it all over your nice wool coat.

“Between Rand Paul and Dick Cheney, I think I will go with Cheney.”

And that makes you a lib.

Cheney is pro-gay marriage and said that deficits don’t matter.

Plus, he had the brilliant idea that American lives should be sacrificed to bring democracy to the middle east.

He was the biggest mistake that Bush ever made.

I used to like Cheney a lot, but he’s wrong here, and it has me re-evaluating my whole take on him.

I’d rather have a foreign terrorist nuke go off here than a totalitarian police/surveillance state that thinks I’m a terrorist.

I’d rather not have either, of course, but that doesn’t seem to be a current choice on the menu, unfortunately.

Dick Cheney is in this for Dick Cheney. He is a big government crony capitalist where anything goes. He loves illegal aliens coming into this country working on the cheap for his donor buddies. He is John McCain on steroids.
There is no difference between him and Obama except the tactics that they use.
We have been here before and it didn't go well then and it'll be a bigger mistake now.

THe problem is that the like of Dick Cheney make the like of RAnd needed as a lawyers.

Whenever a government is in so much encroaching that people feel the need to have a lawyer 24 7 to protect their right each time a cop is around, we got a problem.

IT should not be that way, but now it is that we have to find the muster to supervise our own government back.

This is no go and should be somewhat of a test of how far this war has gone crazy and mismanaged because of cowardice in the face of Islam.

We have lost and maimed enough heroes for WHAT? We have been meddling in countries that have no U.S. national security interest. Protect Israel, to hell with the rest of them. Bombs not boots, when necessary.

You gotta be kidding me! Every one of the abuses & overreach by 0dumb0 were put in place by pandering dumb ass GW Bush and Dick Cheney. Ben Franklin described it accurately when he said those who sacrifice freedom for security, end up with neither. That's exactly where we are today. The NSA has not protected us from ANY terrorist threats or attacks. In fact they couldn't even protect us from the Boston Marathon bombers with all sorts of warnings posted about them.

You would rather go with NWO, CFR, pro-homo, pro-lesbian, pro-gay marriage, pro gubmint intrusion, pro-Islam "religion of peace", anti-TEA Party, anti-Christian, anti-conservative, Dick Cheney.

I would rather go with conservative Libertarian Rand Paul in a heart beat!

I think I will go with the Constitution.

One of the problems with Cheney’s view is that it is somewhat hypocritical. The government is not doing much spying on the bad guys. All this is being used to control us. The preparations are against us. The people profiled are us. The people targeted for harassment are us.

And so on, ad nauseum.

Outside the country, the same government is supporting & funding terrorists. Hamas, Muslim Brotherhood. “Negotiations” with the Taliban. How long before Obozo starts funding the Taliban? Not as far fetched as one would think.

Actually, I was still on active duty way back when Dick was in the first Bush administration. I loved the guy. Now, no more. I have lost all respect I ever had for Dick. He has dropped off my radar. I would never support him if he did run for president back in the day. Feel how you might, I refuse to like him any more.

Why not instead think for yourself and decide the issue based on the evidence?

Not even close. I will go with Rand Paul over Cheney.

The NSA spying is a criminal act and Cheney approves of it. POS IMO.

Government is by its very nature political. Placing this much power and authority in any human’s hands is an abuse.

I have a right to be secure in my person and papers. This extends to electronic communications and information in electronic form. Profile, target the real threats or let’s stand down and take our chances.

I don’t feel the least bit safer with morons from the TSA searching busty women, teen girls, toddlers, the handicapped or the elderly. It’s all theater. It’s all abuse.

It’s time to stop and return the country to pre-9/11 America. We’re done.

What has a single overseas adventure gained us? Name the country we’ve shed blood in that is a valid ally or that hasn’t retrograded?

The 3rd world is the 3rd world because of a culture of mistrust, tribalism and religious retardation. Why ruin America to protect that?

Between smaller more Constitutional government, and the Federal leviathan we have today thanks in part to neo-cons like Cheney...

You choose bigger government.

Got it...
