I dont think Enzi would try to sneak the Internet Tax thing. I think he would push the tax and accept he lost. Enzi was with the patriot 15 on amnesty from the start.

Whereas Rubio tried to force through his amnesty as fast as possible.

Liz attacked McCain when Romney lost in 2008. She will have to explain how she differs from Graham.

She wants a senate seat without really having to work for it. That doesn’t sound like a battler in the Cruz mold to me. Sounds like someone with a feeling of entitlement. We have enough of those in the Senate.

And she is a mega-RINO.

Oh, brother.

I don’t know about RINO, Enzi has a lifetime conservative rating of 92.73% Looks like Liz is trying to ride into politics on her daddy’s coattails.

Did you read the article? It Quotes Alan Simpson as saying it would tear the Wyoming GOP apart.

Simpson was one of the biggest RINOs to walk the planet, but now his advice is golden?

Politics aside, I gather he knows that political situation in Wyoming. Besides, why wouldn’t he come out in support of her, since she’s his kind of Republican?

That's a very strange comment, how do you know that?

That doesn’t sound like a battler in the Cruz mold to me.

Sorry, that's just an ignorant thing to say. if you haven't heard her speak, then you are just whistling in the wind. The lady is clearly good at taking it to the libs. She's far closer to Cruz in that way than anyone in the Senate.

Whoever wins the Republican primary will be the next senator from Wyoming. Cheney is hoping to get Enzi to withdraw, but if he doesn't she'll bring in buckets of outside money and try to buy it. She doesn't have to worry about a tight general election against a credible Democrat. She can just phone it in from there.

If Cheney was really interested in winning a seat then she should have run in Virginia where her roots are.

Sorry, that's just an ignorant thing to say. if you haven't heard her speak, then you are just whistling in the wind. The lady is clearly good at taking it to the libs. She's far closer to Cruz in that way than anyone in the Senate.

I've heard her speak, and talk is cheap.

no I know who she is and I have had it when it comes to name recognition because daddy or husband or what eevr made it and then they want us in wars and will be pro homosexual cross dressing agenda

Agreed. If she wants to be in public service so bad, if she's as conservative as her supporters would like us to believe, let her prove it. Let her work her way up, taking stands on issues all the way, actually doing the work of the people's business.

Cashing in on her daddy's name recognitions doesn't speak well of her - we ought to have had enough nepotism for one country's history.

Well, at least Liz Cheney would only be the SECOND Cheney Americans might have to put up with in public office, unlike the Bushes, who seem to be going for an over-the-top trifecta of THREE presidents, as Jeb shows no sign of becoming a shrinking violet as 2016 approaches.

But since nepotism is part of politics, I’d rather see Liz Cheney, who has serious State Department experience and is very articulate, at least SHARING the Senate limelight with the son of Ron Paul rather than leaving him alone to continue monopolizing so much attention.

“He’s either a RINO or a near-RINO”

And she isn’t?
********************************************************************
Every time I’ve seen her interviewed she has very intelligently supported the conservative positions in any discussion—NEVER a RINO level of “support” and certainly not the liberal line. She’s not one to “work together” with liberal Democrats as Enzi has been known to do.

If Enzi wins the Republican primary and goes to Washington for a FINAL six year, it’s ‘Katy, bar the door’ time with Enzi not having to worry about reelection in a conservative state.

I agree wholeheartedly. But we need not immediately start taking shots at her without knowing anything, as some are doing IMHO.

It certainly didn’t take long for the RINO protection league (including the New York Times) to begin posting pro-Enzi articles.

Don’t know. Could be because she’s conservative? It’s not up to me anyway, it’s up to the good people of MT. I’m going to leave it that way.

FANTASY:
Enzi is vastly LESS CONSERVATIVE than Liz Cheney. He’s either a RINO or a near-RINO, depending upon whether you’re grading on a curve.

REALITY:
Enzi won a tight primary for election to the U.S. Senate in 1996 and was re-elected by large margins in 2002 and 2008. Since his election, he has consistently been ranked as one of the most conservative members of the Senate. He has a lifetime ACU rating of 92% and was ranked by National Journal as the sixth-most conservative U.S. Senator in its March 2007 conservative/liberal rankings. On social issues, Enzi is strongly conservative. He opposes all types of abortion and has voted in favor of proposals that would provide restrictions on the procedure for minors, those stationed on military bases, and other groups. He has voted in favor of failed constitutional amendments that suggested banning gay marriage and flag desecration. Enzi also is a strong supporter of gun rights and is ranked very favorably by the National Rifle Association. In April 2013, Senator Enzi was one of forty-six senators to vote against the passing of a bill which would have expanded background checks for all gun buyers. Enzi voted with 40 Republicans and 5 Democrats to stop the passage of the bill. NY Times predicted a 0% chance of Senator Enzi voting Yay on the bil Enzi has voted for the repeal of legislation governing such things as the estate tax and the “marriage penalty.” Enzi is a signer of Americans for Tax Reform’s Taxpayer Protection Pledge.
He supports partial privatization of Social Security and has consistently voted against measures to expand Medicare or to enroll more children or lower-class individuals in public health care.
Enzi takes a hard-line view on illegal immigration and has been rated highly by groups that support tighter border controls. He has voted in favor of the construction of a fence along the U.S.-Mexican border and against the implementation of guest worker programs.

So you think THAT guy is a “RINO” — and you want to replace him with a so-called “true conservative” who is a Bush adminstration insider AND whose family led the way to championing gay marriage??
Epic fail.
