Most political observers had assumed that former Montana Gov. Brian Schweitzer would seek the Senate seat being vacated by Max Baucus, who is retiring. Had Schweitzer decided to run, the seat would probably lean toward a Democratic hold, and the GOP would have only an outside chance at taking back the upper chamber.

Whoever the Republican candidate is, I sure hope he doesn’t start talking about pregnancies, rapes, or the female reproductive system. When asked about those subjects talk about the pasties in Butte.
RE: I sure hope he doesnt start talking about pregnancies, rapes, or the female reproductive system
COUNT ON IT — HE WILL ( NOT MIGHT, WILL ) BE ASKED ABOUT IT.
Especially about pregnancies that result from RAPE.
He/she better come up with a better response than Todd Aiken.
I know I’m going to primary Johnny Isakson for Sure.
If the left keeps ramming the ‘racist Zimmerman’ crap down America’s throats, Americans will fight back at the polls because they are SICK of this administration’s race-bating CRAP and doubly SICK of that black guy who caused over 300 Mexicans to die in Mexico (Eric WithHOlder; F&F).
Just remember that in 2012, the GOP was supposed to be the odds-on favorite to retake the Senate too. Then they put John Cornyn in charge and the rest is history . . . . .
We know you can do it.
“He/she better come up with a better response than Todd Aiken”
Or Richard Mourdock’s response.
How can one drop-out improve it “dramatically?”
And he will most definitely be asked incessantly about these subjects by the Party of Death. Any answer he gives will be construed to work against him - ANY answer. If he refuses to answer, they'll say that he doesn't care about raped women.
How many Republicans are running for Senate this term in states that use touch screen voting machines?
There was a study done some years back about “choice” that showed that rape victims who became pregnant thereby,by a large margin, preferred to keep their babies, the reason most often given being that they did not want to inflict a wrong on an innocent baby for the wrong that was done to the woman or that the original act damaged them and they would be damaging themselves further by abortion. Women who were coerced into abortion because of rape suffered from depression because of the abortion at much higher incidence than others. I recall the Fems getting sore wroth that the study was released.
MT is wedded to the Democrat Party for Senator and usually governor too, makes no difference who the candidate is so long as he sports a “D”. It’s only that U.S. House seat that is competitive there.
People don’t remember that Schweitzer ran for the Senate a while back, and got beat.
That doesn't make sense. Their House seat is a statewide office. Recent gun grabbing attempts by the rats could make a difference, but the pubbie will have to get in front of it and make an issue of how far left the rats have become, Supreme Court Justices, Heller was a 5 - 4 victory, etc.
Maybe Liz Cheney will run in Montana and capture a Dem seat. She’s a rancher/hunter/small town gal, or so I hear.
