True true. Yeah there’s got to be more to this. Just like you said, when the Trayvon/Zimmerman story first broke everyone thought it was this “wanna be cop” who killed a kid who went to the store for candy just because the kid was black. Then you get the real story...
Good grief, why would ANYONE use the MSM as a source of information? They are WORSE than TASS.
If you're going to shoot, shoot.
YOU DON'T SAY?!
Warning shot was OK in my town a few months ago. A middle-aged woman’s home was broken into by a man in the middle of the night. She pulled out her gun, told him “I’ve got a gun.” And shot into the wall. Man sat in a chair until police arrived. No problem for this woman whatsoever.
She inspired me to become a gun owner. Lots of other women too, judging by the line at City Hall getting permits to carry.
Did anyone notice that Angela Corey is the one who filed the prosecution’s motions? Corey is crazier than the lady who shot up her house while shooting her gun at her husband and children, and then violating a judge’s restraining order.
Interesting read here:

She should have downed a couple of beers quickly and run him over - then she’d only get probation.
I'm glad the situation worked out for her. I'm just saying that, as a general practice, warning shots are terribly dangerous and should be avoided. "Every bullet has a lawyer attached to it."
Total load of BS and a very OLD story.
The facts? She ran out to the car, retrieved a gun, and re-entered the residence, where she started firing her “warning shots”. The law calls that brandishing a firearm and threatening someone’s life.
So why are you posting this crap?
I sense prozac, adderal, and booze.
She was 9 days postpartum, premature baby in hospital. Where was the PMS exception??? The tart Corey was prosecutor. Apparently still in jail, excerpt:
State Attorney Angela Corey tells us that Congresswoman Corrine Brown needs to get the facts straight on the Marissa Alexander case.
Corey says that Alexander fired the gun in the direction of her husband and kids, and her life was not in danger at the time.
After Alexander was sentenced to 20 years in prison for three counts of aggravated assault with a weapon, Congresswoman Brown lashed out at Corey saying she and the judgment are wrong.
Go figure.
And if you're going to talk, talk.
A ha! There you go! Freakin’ press, once again editing the story and you have to search for the real one.
The rest of the story.
She took an unnecessary shot at her husband in the vicinity of his two children, when she easily could have just left the premises.
I’ll agree 20 years is harsh, but I’m not going lose sleep over it.

This seems very badly summarized in the new article, and it makes you wonder if it is intentional to stir up trouble that a black woman gets 20 years for self-defense.
In fact, she voluntarily went to the guy’s house and stayed the night. The they argued and although the guy was a jerk and blocked her into a bathroom, it looks like she was somewhat on the offense too. She went outside, could have left, got her gum, went back in and tried to shoot the guy, MISSED, gets arrested and gets a restraining order against HER, then later after comes back AGAIN and causes trouble and fires the warning shot. Both times children were there and the second time she could have hit them.
(That’s just from a quick scan of one document — link below — that someone posted.)
I think things in the US are often over-criminalized and over-punished, and 20 years sounds ridiculous and that is why a lot of these “zero tolerance” laws and “three strikes” laws are not right. We need to go back to common sense punishments!
However, the clearly seems deserving of some type of penalty for her actions, which really were not self-defense.
Maybe he ought to get a penalty too. Can’t tell.
