It appears Iceland was not prepared for him.

Ecuador is great. Exotic locations should increase the film rights that he will get for his story.

Oliver Stone is a bit disappointed however, he was hoping that Venezuela stuff was true.

Is a white Ford Bronco involved in this chase yet?

I thought that he said he didn’t care what happened to him? If his revelations about domestic spying were really based on principle, then why did he leave Hong Kong and not battle it out in the courts, instead choosing to flirt with this country’s enemies?

Tomorrow’s headline: “Plane heading for Ecuador goes down in storm.”

They say Prism cannot be used to intentionally target any Americans or anyone in the US, and that it is supervised by judges.

Just like the IRS can't -

Oh wait...

Ecuador is as bad a choice as Cuba or Venezuela if Snowden cares about the support amongst the American public.

If he really wants to stick it to the U.S. government, he should consider suicide. Who would believe it was really a suicide?

So he goes to Ecuador, a neighboring country to Colombia (main source of cocaine through Mexico to US) and a country which notably uses the US Dollar as it’s currency.

Highly malleable country Ecuador and the dollar connection, well it is too cute in re: bargaining and lining one’s pockets. With good relations with the Chi-coms, notably.

Snowden is yet another self appointed ethics hustler, and part of the wikileaks team, along with Assange who is currently residing in the Ecuadorian London embassy. My opinion, whole thing a chicom op, including wikileaks. We are no longer as free, thanks to these, their money loans their militarism, their lack of religious freedom—the new china, same as the old. Let’s see if he gets to Ecuador and stays there very long.

Rather ironic, considering that Ecuador’s extreme leftist president is in the process of getting a gag-law passed through his rubber-stamp legislature, directed entirely at muzzling the press.

Ecuador - where the concept of a free press is increasingly under attack !

As someone posted elsewhere, it’s interesting that Wikileaks, Manning and now this guy only attack Western democracies then hide in near dictatorships.

Hong Kong officials said Mr Snowden had left "on his own accord for a third country through a lawful and normal channel" because the US extradition request was incomplete and there was no legal basis to restrict him from departing.

Perhaps it was incomplete by design?

I can’t make logic out of this story. The bottom line is that It looks like no one respects Obama, and I wonder if that is the whole point..

One can trust Russians to be Russians, and Putin has a prize in hand.

In other words, Snowden isn't getting out of Russia for some time ... if ever.

Stay tuned.

Money may have something to do with it.....Ecuador currency is the US dollar........he would not have to worry about currency conversion....and easier to get him funds while in ECU

If he goes to any of our enemies (and Ecuador *is* our enemy, although not an important one) then he becomes a filthy Communist scumbag to me.If he comes here I might be willing to put him back into my “could be a hero, could be a scumbag” column.

I think he’d be safer in Ecuador’s London embassy.

This kid is going to be excoriated by the press. By the time it is all over the sheeple will have forgotten that he revealed just how much NSA is spying on innocent people. It will only be remembered that he was a misguided traitor.

So sad.

Surely our end is near.
