He’s that and more.
He was born in Westwood, New Jersey. Native son. Fair enough.
‘The Sopranos’ was about as good as television can get. I could not imagine another actor playing Tony. Having said that, I don’t believe that we should be lowering any flag to half staff for any actor.
A tabloid gesture for a tabloid nation.
Been saying the same for years. It takes away from the true intent and meaning of a lowered flag. I really believe it's another outward sign of the death of American culture.
Cablevision’s local news 12 continuously spews mind-control material.
It’s quite simple: krispy kreme agrees to be a RINO, and oppose everything good and decent while doing all he can to promote everything globalism wants. So he has a truce with all unions, etc., (they being a globalist front), he puts some lipstick on the NJ budget, blusters how much he’s opposing the teachers union but in reality it’s business as usual.
In exchange, news 12 goes all-pro-Christie, 24/7. There’s a stinking rotten commercial about ‘stronger than the storm’ that’s enough to make anyone barf.
News 12 beats the dead horse of the sandy storm continuously, 24/7.
News 12 Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is to “connect” with the people who live in the urban areas of NJ, and keep brainwashing all the others to begin to think like those in the urban areas.
Realizing that there are a lot of people of Italian descent in the state, news 12, like all other NYC-metro channels CONSTANTLY slobbers all over anything Italian-American. After a while, it must make Italian-Americans barf, cuz it’s so overdone and superficial.
I’ve personally never liked the Jersey Shore because it’s been mostly disgusting and sleezy, with the few decent areas simply being too crowded with too many of the urbanites that one goes on vacation to get away from. Same old boardwalks, snack food, thongs, etc. Walk up and down, seeing what there is to see, and there’s nothing to see. Now get back in the car for the two hours of bumper-to-bumper traffic to go home.
It’s amazing how millions of people get the idea, but really don’t get the idea, that a show like Sopranos glorifies crime. Think about that. Glorifies crime.
Anyone who wants to glorify crime - don’t complain about anything, ever, cuz you’re causing your own problems.
Ex-mobsters will go on about old stories - mostly it’s the comraderie they reminisce about fondly. Simply recounting their former days, the people they worked with and crazy things they did. I’ve never heard of one that says that crime is right or good though; they all acknowledge that it’s wrong, and the lifestyle is one that eventually bites those that partake in it. And so they’ve graduated to being in normal businesses and investments, and they leave the street crime to other gangs.
So news 12 continues to glorify: the platform of the Democratic party, globalist causes (big medicine, etc.), and any goofy thing they can latch on to that they think will ingratiate themselves with most New Jerseyans. This is what “local New Jersey news”, even on the other stations, means. Shameless flattery and propaganda, direct from the sewer of corruption that is the Statehouse in Trenton.
Well, aren't you special. Had you watched the show, you would have seen a Shakesperean drama set in present day in a well-to-do suburb of New York, and all the machinations of power, lust, money, violence, fear and love, played by a superb cast -- Gandolfini the most subtle and intelligent actor among them -- especially so since he was not about violence in real life and was known for his kindness and generosity, including to wounded troops.
The point of the show was very much about the futility of power, money, violence, fear and lust, and the parent-child relationships that form us or warp us.
But maybe you folks don't have those issues out West? If you do, now who's the "idiot"?
I wonder if they did this for Sinatra?
Thanks LostInBayport. I enjoyed your comments too. We’re in agreement here. Glad to know it.
Massachusetts is ground zero for homosexual promotion. It was the first state in the union to jam gay marriage down the throats of a largely Catholic population ten years ago. As a result of a decade of activism since that state supreme court decision, which is less about marriage than about pushing homosexuality onto schoolchildren, the things that have been foisted off on families there would fry your brain.

Bingo! If they are so above watching The Sopranos and are sure he was an "idiot" but they never heard of him or watched him, why are they even on the thread? Must be nice to be them.
Thank you for this link. I hope they show it again. What a guy.
I do agree with you, much as I admired the writing, the cast and the actors, especially Gandolfini. He made that series.
Ya think NY will lower the flag for Jane Fonda, when she departs this planet?
I wonder how many WWII, Korea, and Vietnam veterans died that same day.
Christie should be more worried he doesn’t suffer the same fate with that cow heart of his.
