You're painting an absurdly broad brush there which is very disappointing to me. The actual percentage of priests implicated in this (and even 1% is too high) was under 5% in the heyday.

And that percentage was not elevated compared to clergy of other Christian denominations.

"We don't see the Catholic Church as a hotbed of this or a place that has a bigger problem than anyone else," said Ernie Allen, president of the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. "I can tell you without hesitation that we have seen cases in many religious settings, from traveling evangelists to mainstream ministers to rabbis and others."
no I agree, the Catholic church had a few homosexals touching boys, it’s not an attack on the church as I’m sure other religions have these problems too but it’s to highlight how homosexuals and boys should not be near each other
Unfortunately, the other institutions infected with predators hardly make the news, and only the often repeated offenders are the ones recalled. There’s no question the Catholic Church receives the lion’s share of attention.
I don’t fault manc, however, for indicating the male predators that attacked the male victims were homosexuals. The assertion of homosexuality must be recognized especially when the officials are expressly recognizing the “sexual orientation” of minors.

That can’t be true...see, in many of the conversations I’ve had with the BSA policy change defenders, they state over and over again the majority of offenders are “straight”, married, white males.

Yes, I somewhat misinterpreted your comment as the juxtaposition of the words “Catholic...all...homosexual...predators” leaped out at me and I missed your intended point. Sorry, my mistake.
