Boy Scouts of America says it is disappointed Caterpillar Inc. will no longer give money to the group. But public relations director Deron Smith on Thursday thanked the Peoria-based heavy equipment manufacturer for its past support. Caterpillar spokeswoman Rachel Potts said Thursday that the Caterpillar Foundation has decided to withdraw its supports for Boy Scouts of America. Potts says the company believes the group's policy barring homosexual adults from serving as scout leaders is discriminatory.

Kudos to you. Single moms would never give up the BSA as the OTHER BABYSITTER besides school and daycare. Nothing like having gays, illegal aliens and leftist union hack teachers as a role model for your boys!
The Queers got what they wanted. BSA destroyed.
I’ve liked CAT ever since they served pancakes during the anti-Israel protests.
BSA: Butt Scouts of the Anus.
Disappointed they’re pro-sodomite.
You agree with Caterpiller and the Democrats that homosexual Scout leaders should take little boys off into the woods?
That was not called for. Rudecrude dude
It’s really helping the Order of DeMolay (basically protestant) and the Knights of Columbus Youth (Catholic) groups in my area of NM.
Both camp together already.
I’ll go ahead and present my resignation’s “attachment”.
“In order to have a rational discussion, fact needs to be separated from conjecture. For this reason, attention must be focused to the politically incorrect fact that homosexuality has never been objectively proven to be a birth trait. Sadly, this point needs to be reiterated, due to the fact that this evidence is continually disregarded. Decades of research and exorbitant funding have been spent searching for any confirmation that homosexuality is a condition that is outside the individuals ability to control. Testing involving genetics, epigenetics, neurochemistry, etc. have all fallen short. Based on current knowledge, the issue must be concluded that this lifestyle is a chosen behavior. Any attempts to conclude otherwise, is an appeal to emotion instead of reason.
Although the National Boy Scouts of America has attempted to advance this decision as a humanistic endeavor, it is fully understood by the membership that this was for financial reasons. In doing this, our young men will be taught that core principles only matter until the wallet is affected. They will learn that reason and logic must acquiesce to the collectives emotion. They will learn that through brute force a vast minority (barely touching the third line of standard deviation) can dictate the moralities, principles, and honor of a once great organization.
They will learn that Mans law is superior to Gods law.
Social media sites are littered with subject lines like:
Do you remember what life was like when we were kids?, or
Do you remember what happened to us when we were disrespectful?, or
Can you believe that kids today, behave like this?
. dress like this?
. speak like this?
..
Due to political correctness, these same people choose to be oblivious to the change, remain silently ambivalent, or will even take up the mantel of this immoral behavior. They, themselves, may cheer on the very destruction of the life they so cherish. All in fear of what others may think of them.
Cub Scouts teaches a boy how to be a better family member, a better friend, a better sibling. A Webelo Scout learns how to become a better member of the community, a better group participant, a better caretaker of those things outside of his own self-interest. Boy Scouts teach young men to become a better Man, a better worker, a better husband, a better father, a shining example of what God and Society expects from a man. A good scout, when adhering to these principles, has learned to stand his ground for what is right and moral. He knows his responsibilities to his wife, children, and his fellow Man.
I was once privileged to sit on a Life Board for a Scout in my sons early years. The question was given, Of the Scout Law, which is the most important?. I was astounded at how tough this question really is and watched the Scout ponder the answer for a few seconds. He looked up and said, Reverent, because all of the remaining laws fall into place as long as you are reverent to God. I sat in disbelief that a child of sixteen understood this far better than most people today. Sadly, in retrospect, he understood it better than the Boy Scouts of America and some churches now do.”
That is not possible now or ever.
It’s also true.
Caterpiller is America!
.
Of course not. Homosexual pedophiles like Jerry Sandusky are never sneaky enough to get away with anything like that.
Bert the perversion defender is back. He thinks that perversion can be redeemed.
Good grief. Why is Caterpillar forcing adult homosexuals on trusting little boys?
Got a much better question: Why is an all volunteer organization dependent upon contributions from Caterpillar? Did I miss something somewhere? Are they paying for merit badges or ceremonies or even scout camps?
Nope, they're paying for the professional staff of scouting. They're paying for their benefits, their retirements, their offices.
The problem has been from the start in the late 1970's when this conversion went into place that professional scouting would kill scouting. And lo and behold, it did take a shockingly long time for it to happen (and drained over a billion dollars in trust funds), but it has happened.
Congrats, BSA, for doing the job that liberals have been trying so hard to do themselves.
Anyone left in scouting, fire everyone. You answer to no council, no state chair, not national organization. You do as Baden Powell directed you to do, you follow his book, and you kiss off the rules from the national organization. Let the professionals blow what little is left in their theft kitty on filing useless lawsuits against troops for not playing along.
>> “Prolly an anal thing.” <<
.
Uhh Rachel has another opening for that.
Love your fighting attitude. May it be contagious.
One would think.
