The Senate voted 82-15 on Tuesday to end debate on a motion to proceed to a comprehensive immigration reform bill.
The Senate is expected to continue work on the Border Security, Economic Opportunity, and Immigration Modernization Act throughout June. The next vote will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday that will be on the actual motion to proceed to the bill.
The four Republican members of the Gang of Eight Sens. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), John McCain (R-Ariz.), Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Jeff Flake (R- Ariz.) were joined by more than 20 other GOP senators in voting to advance the debate. That strong support is expected to dwindle if certain amendments aren't agreed to.
"As an elected leader in my party, its my view that we at least need to try to improve a situation that as far as I can tell very few people believe is working well either for our own citizens, or for those around the world who aspire to become Americans," Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) said ahead of the vote Tuesday. "Ill vote to debate it and for the opportunity to amend it, but in the days ahead there will need to be major changes to this bill if its going to become law."

The 15 genuine American patriots are: John Barrasso of Wyoming, John Boozman of Arkansas, Michael D. Crapo of Idaho, Ted Cruz of Texas, Michael B. Enzi of Wyoming, Charles E. Grassley of Iowa, James M. Inhofe of Oklahoma, Mark S. Kirk of Illinois, Mike Lee of Utah, Jim Risch of Idaho, Pat Roberts of Kansas, Tim Scott of South Carolina, Jeff Sessions of Alabama, Richard C. Shelby of Alabama and David Vitter of Louisiana.
Just so people know, the MAJORITY of Republicans in the Senate including Mitch McConnell are now on the record supporting amnesty
Exactly. We conservatives are the RINOs. The beltway GOP and RNC have put their cards on the table.

He is quoting a few replies on this thread.
Least he could do is properly attribute the quotes, but then again he is a far left loon.
” I guranntee by early 2014 20M + illegal criminals will be new RAT voters.
The passage of this evil immigration bill by utterly evil scum in D.C. will truly be check mate for our Republic. “
It will destroy our solid middle class, and that is the ultimate goal.
The Good 15: Sessions, Shelby, Boozman, Risch, Crapo, Kirk (!), Grassley, Roberts, Vitter, Inhofe, Scott, Cruz, Lee, Enzi, Barasso. All other GOPers voted Aye.
Note: Several of the Senators above, including RINO Kirk have hinted they may vote for passage of the final bill. Ugh.
Senators who betrayed us: Alexander, Ayotte, Blunt, Burr, Chambliss, Coats, Coburn, Cochran, Collins, Corker, Cornyn, Enzi, Fischer, Flake, Graham, Hatch, Heller, Hoeven, Isakson, Johanns, Johnson, McCain, McConell, Moran, Murkowski, Paul (!), Portman, Thune (!), Toomey, Wicker.
Not if they’re local inserts.
Thanks for the link. GMTA.
Media Matters wannabe didn’t have any original thoughts, so they had to Tweet ours.
Christie’s appointee Jeff Chiesa (surprise!) also voted Yes.
We’ll see how they vote this afternoon on the actual motion to proceed

No surprises here.
“very few people believe is working well either for our own citizens”
True, sadly, the foreign citizens you seem to be voting for to give them benefits, gives not benefits to actual Americans you took an oath to protect.
“As an elected leader in my party, its my view that we at least need to try to improve a situation that as far as I can tell very few people believe is working well either for our own citizens, or for those around the world who aspire to become Americans, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.)
Ok I agree. SECURE THE BORDER. Thats the problem. Fix it. The rest of this is crap
This vile bill should have died a quick death in the senate. I am ready to leave the GOP for good. Let the Rats take total control and get it over with then we can rise from the ashes with a new party based on the constitution. The sooner the better. I have had it.
Leaders of the new party.
” I am ready to leave the GOP for good. Let the Rats take total control and get it over with”
They will, and KEEP it.
Alabama stands FIRM!
” Leaders of the new party.”
Better form it tomorrow.

Milquetost Mitch is tip, tip, tip toeing through the tulips with that mealy mouth statement. What a pathetic buffoon. It would be hilarious if he wasn’t an arsonist burning down the country.
brazen. they are now outed. now we know exactly who we have to contact. 26 or more senators to flip before the end of the month. time to work on ryan, and the house too.
I used that as a tag years ago (I'm a RINO.....I'm a conservative) You would not believe the lambasting I got on the Rush "live" threads for it.

I knew McConnell & Boehner would sell us out. Neither have done a peep about Obama’s criminal activities. We need a 2 million march on D.C.
