On Tuesday, KY Sen. Rand Paul launched a spirited defense of Apple, whose tax strategies were subject to a hearing of the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations. "I frankly think the committee should apologize to Apple," Paul said. Paul went on to accuse the committee of "bullying" one of America's greatest companies, prompting Sen. John McCain to quickly defend the inquiry and say that Paul's remarks were "frankly, offensive."

Why hasn't someone in his extended family started involuntary commitment procedures against this moronic pin-headed mclame?

I am offended McCain hasn’t seen it fit to retire yet, and we still need to listen to his stupidity!

Frankly, I'm with Rand Paul on this one. The government should only exist to take care of essential, central functions and should only require enough money to execute those functions in the most efficient manner possible.

The government should be ASHAMED of bringing these execs in for a PR-extortion shakedown.

I don’t know. McCain has been committed involuntarily before, and there might be some sensitivity on the issue. Seriously, what the guy endured on behalf of his country is amazing, but it’s long past time he rode off into the sunset.

The subject matter here is McCain’s reprehensible performance in the Senate. Numerous witnesses saw him in the Hanoi Hilton and the guy endured torture that would make 99% of Americans piss their pants in fear.

So how about focusing on SENATOR McCain and stop with the impugning of his military background, OK?

Yes it is our tax law that forces Corporations to do this to survive. This kangaroo Congressional court is a national shame.

I respect his military service. But his public service is a disservice and disgraceful.

Hey, moron, LT McCain was not responsible for that fire. You are responsible for lying. Want to challenge my response to you, boy? Get to it, liar. It’s one deal to not respect a man, it is quite another to lie about him.

McCain wants to arm al-Qaeda in Syria and punish Apple for obeying the tax laws he was responsible for as a Republican senator for decades.

That offends the heck out of me on some level - the other level makes me want to see if he can be sent to an old age home.

Apple didn't break any laws, it is their right to follow tax code to pay least amount of taxes. McCain is big government advocate...

Obama’s new best friend in the Senate: John McCain

The fella from Apple could have said, “Apple challenges the IRS. Bring your top-of-the-line, best corporate investigators. Investigate Apple. I’ll even help you. And when it’s all said and done I want a very public apology from the IRS to all Apple employees and shareholders for embarrassing and harassing our company like this.”

Apple should pay their taxes like any company should do.

How can you have a gripe about companies that follow the law? Our legislature voted on that tax law. It's perfectly legal.

BTW do you take your mortgage deduction or any other deduction on your taxes? No difference.

Wasn’t it reported that GE paid ZERO federal income taxes over the last couple of years. Why not bring that back up for review?

BUMP to your most perfect of posts. This deserves copying over and over:

McCain is a national disgrace.

The longer he remains on the public stage, the more he’s going to destroy himself.

Couldn’t happen to a more deserving troll.
