Sundown
This is just heart breaking. All the money we spend on schools, and yet most do not have adequate protection from tornado type weather or the extra specs for earthquakes.
Our community has been lucky. In spite of the leveling of several shopping centers and the elementary school over the years, we have not had huge fatalities. My daughter was in third grade when the tornado hit the elementary school. Fortunately school was not in session.
I pray for all these people who are experiencing such awful losses. It’s a real tragedy.
This breaks my heart! Praying for all those affected by this horrible event. Dear God...
Oh dear lord, NO.
I just watched my little daughter graduate from college — something these parents will never get to do.
I cannot imagine the anguish and sorrow.
Prayers up for all the children and their families. And for all in the storm’s path.
One of my (California) kids has a question: back in the old days, where did the native Americans shelter in a hurricane? Did they dig trenches? Find a ravine and scramble down into it?
Coroner spokesperson just said on Greta there are another 20 children coming in to them that are not yet in the count.
Dear Father in Heaven,
Grant strength and hope to the people of Oklahoma who are going through this difficult time. I fervently pray that those who are unaccounted for are found safe and sound. Please ease the suffering of those who mourn and those who have physical injuries. Please grant healing in body and spirit.
Amen.

God bless his loved ones and friends left behind and all the grieving families left in Oklahoma. I have no right to dedicate Zach's touching song to the innocents lost today. But I feel a big hole. If only they had a little bit more time with each other.
The lyrics to 'Clouds' :
Well I fell down, down, downInto this dark and lonely hole
There was no one there to care about me anymore
And I needed a way to climb and grab a hold of the edge
You were sitting there holding a rope.
And we'll go up, up, up
But I'll fly a little higher
We'll go up in the clouds because the view is a little nicer
Up here my dear
It won't be long now, it won't be long now.
When I get back on land
Well I'll never get my chance
Be ready to live and it'll be ripped right out of my hands
Maybe someday we'll take a little ride
We'll go up, up, up and everything will be just fine.
And we'll go up, up, up
But I'll fly a little higher
We'll go up in the clouds because the view is a little nicer
Up here my dear.
It won't be long now, it won't be long now
If only I had a little bit more time
If only I had a little bit more time with you.
We could go up, up, up
And take that little ride
And sit there holding hands
And everything would be just right
And maybe someday I'll see you again
We'll float up in the clouds and we'll never see the end.
And we'll go up, up, up
But I'll fly a little higher
We'll go up in the clouds because the view is a little nicer
Up here my dear
It won't be long now, it won't be long now.

Channel 9 just said that there was 40-50 people still trapped beneath the rubble of the school.
???
was this true?
horrible
Truly heart-breaking as I watched it yesterday. Now these children? Don’t have the words...
Dreadful news.
Schools are regrettably not the fortresses of safety many would like to believe.
Condolences and prayers to Oklahoma.
