Beat-Up Poet? One of the Men Punished Over Benghazi Security Failures Fights Back..
The Blaze ^ | 5/19/2013 | Dave Urbanski

Posted on 05/20/2013 12:16:27 PM PDT by GraceG

Raymond Maxwell is one of the four State Department officials who was disciplined due to security lapses leading to the U.S. Consulate attack in Benghazi, Libya, last year

But after he was placed on paid administrative leave last Dec. 18, CBS News says that rather than sulk in silence and shame, Maxwell has been publishing poetry about his ordeal–often scathing verse–that can’t be making officials in Washington, D.C. applaud (or snap their fingers, whatever the case may be).

CBS News calls attention to his “Trapped in a purgatory of their own deceit.”

Here Maxwell writes in part:

“The web of lies they weave / gets tighter and tighter / in its deceit / until it bottoms out – / at a very low frequency – / and implodes…Yet all the while, / the more they talk, / the more they lie, / and the deeper down the hole they go… Just wait…/ just wait and feed them the rope.”

The Poet of Benghazi - Using the "Nostradamus Trick" to Excape the Orthodoxy of the day.

Nostradamus used poetry to speak out against the persecution of his day so he could avoid persecution, it is kinda sad that the Obama admin has brought a level of orthodoxy and perscution that hasn;t been seen in a long, long time...

It’s the “We’ll pay you to keep your trap SHUT and not annoy us or bad things will happen” type.

This modern Nostradamus doesn’t even sound like he’s being particularly secretive or obscure about his message! I think Obama’s dream that covering up the misdeeds of his government by shuffling people around and buying their silence with a supposed “firing” that was really a paid sabbatical isn’t going to last much longer.

His only hope now is to pretend it all happened without him - somehow, evil people took over his sweet little government and nobody told him about it. But people like the “Poet of Benghazi” know the truth, or at least parts of it, and they’re simply not going to stay silent on it forever.

Now, now devil dog.

That bitter, acrid taste that war
and combat leave in your mouth -
cleaves your tongue -
and gives you a sixth sense about things…

For example, the guy out front:
the leader. Will he die for you?
If so, then you will die for him,
or live, make his mission yours,
and accomplish it.

But if he won’t,
and your sixth sense will tell you so,
then neither will you for him.
And his goal is his alone and can go to hell.

And if you are out in front,
will you die for the men and women
in your care?
If so, then they will die for you,
or live, and make your mission theirs,
and accomplish it.

But if not, you should quit faking
and just go home. Because those
behind you, in your charge, following you,
will already have a sixth sense of things.

Now that someone outed him, we need to decode the info while we can.

This guy has clues all through his poetry. We need some help... and i’m scared to go to NYU or Columbia for it.

It will disappear, so you know what to do (get your hand drives and burn it).

Forwarding to a few ‘serving’ poets.

Well God bless Mr. Maxwell. He’s not playing the part of the cowardly p*ssy that the Hillary crew expected. You can only oppress folks for so long before they begin to rebel.

This poem is probably a coded reference to Watergate via "Oh what a tangled web we weave."

Clever of him to write poetry. Better yet, come forward and provide specific details. I suppose he thinks that by writing “fictional” poetry he can save his career?

Try this on for size:

Source: Exclusive: Hillary's Benghazi 'Scapegoat' Speaks Out

Susan Johnson, the president of the American Foreign Service Association (AFSA), told The Daily Beast that administrative leave does damage to a foreign service officer’s reputation and career if it goes on for more than a couple of weeks, much less several months. The treatment amounts to a de facto disciplinary action, she said.

I suppose, if one is just a mindless drone and enjoys drawing a paycheck for nothing, you'd enjoy being "punished" that way, but if you're a career type of person, this is an awful thing to have to go through...

He should try writing a "High Coup"

Choom gang alumnus
Rules over a once great land
Hope and change corrode

Awful is a little severe. Out in the real world, we get laid off and there's no money falling from heaven.
