How can it be considered punishment when he’s on paid administrative leave. I wish I could be “punished” that way....
It’s the “We’ll pay you to keep your trap SHUT and not annoy us or bad things will happen” type.
Now, now devil dog.
That bitter, acrid taste that war
and combat leave in your mouth -
cleaves your tongue -
and gives you a sixth sense about things
For example, the guy out front:
the leader. Will he die for you?
If so, then you will die for him,
or live, make his mission yours,
and accomplish it.
But if he wont,
and your sixth sense will tell you so,
then neither will you for him.
And his goal is his alone and can go to hell.
And if you are out in front,
will you die for the men and women
in your care?
If so, then they will die for you,
or live, and make your mission theirs,
and accomplish it.
But if not, you should quit faking
and just go home. Because those
behind you, in your charge, following you,
will already have a sixth sense of things.
Try this on for size:
Source: Exclusive: Hillary's Benghazi 'Scapegoat' Speaks OutI suppose, if one is just a mindless drone and enjoys drawing a paycheck for nothing, you'd enjoy being "punished" that way, but if you're a career type of person, this is an awful thing to have to go through...Susan Johnson, the president of the American Foreign Service Association (AFSA), told The Daily Beast that administrative leave does damage to a foreign service officers reputation and career if it goes on for more than a couple of weeks, much less several months. The treatment amounts to a de facto disciplinary action, she said.
What was he really punished for???
