Republicans Are Refusing To Appoint Members To Obamacare 's Most Notorious Panel (Deathpanels)

One of the most politically intense fights over the Affordable Care Act was over the creation of the Independent Payment Advisory Board, infamously dubbed a "death panel" by Republicans during the 2010 elections.

On Thursday, Republican House Speaker John Boehner and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell signaled that they would keep working to keep opposition alive by doing everything they can to impede the board's implementation.

The two leaders wrote a letter to President Barack Obama, notifying him that they would not be submitting any recommendations to the panel because of their opposition to it and to the law in general.

Obamacare must be repealed.

Need veto-proof Republican majority in both houses of the Congress.

Every conservative should call this damnable panel the “Democrat Death Panel.”
Particularly the elderly should know that their days are numbered when the government will decide whether their quality of life is worth preserving.

Republicans should be on the networks telling everyone about this, regardless of what their leftwing interviewers want to talk about.

“Particularly the elderly should know that their days are numbered when the government will decide whether their quality of life is worth preserving.”

Exactly. I’m 30 years out, unless I am somehow disabled before I’m in my 80’s when we start to fall apart. I am saving like the devil and doing all I can to not take a dime from Mother Government, who, it appears, can kill me at her leisure!

B@stards!

You know, I used to be a nice, caring person. I CARED about my fellow man. But we are all on our own from here on out. I don’t see things EVER improving, even if we have a second coming of Ronaldus Magnus.

Life as we know it in America is over. We’re ALL Socialists now.

Isn’t the death penalty “cruel and unusual punishment” for people whose only crime was getting old or sick?

However, the "Gang of 8", led by socialist Juan McVain, will create a "compromise" (cave) to avoid anything getting in the way of implementing ZeroCare!

Well-stated, Diana. I sure can relate. I still care about my fellow FReedom-fighter. All the rest, including useful idiots and assorted deceiving, destructive, rights-regulating statists....efem. Life, liberty and the pursuit, mockery and destruction of totalitarians.

I agree. The “progressives” have been very patient as over the years they slowly staffed the public schools systems, the colleges and universities, the media, and government agencies. They are now in charge and gradually changing Americans’ mindsets via education of young people and propaganda. They are firmly in control.

We can do our best to fight them—and we must try—but I am very, very pessimistic that we can win. It seems that every avenue is blocked.

You are right. America, as it was before, is over. The societal nightmare that we all feared could happen is now underway.
