I notice many believe this is related to the Benghazi hearings. Perhaps. I just don’t thnk obama is that worried about it. They will dodge and weave and the media will help them. My guess is this is a strategy alignment for rest of his 2nd term and how to pick up seats next year and not focused on just Benghazi.
As always I’ll take a contrarian approach here. IMHO a hotel (an hotel?) is *less* secure not more. Either from the standpoint of physical security *or* the walls having ears.
So why not the White Hut?
I think in DC it’s all about power and it’s all about appearances of power. If they go to dinner at the White Hut the congresscritters are being summoned to Barry’s place and that puts them on a lower power rung. By meeting at a “neutral” location they are all on an equal footing.
To my political calculus this shows weakness (and is meant to show weakness) on the part of the boy president.

in fact, it may be worse. he treats congressional republicans like his enemy, but he treats congressional democrats like his servants.
