Would you support Sarah Palin should she decide to run for the presidency in 2016?

Let's see. How does she compare to my litmus checks:

What's not to like?

Oh, yeah. That thing about not reading newspapers and also seeing Russia from her house. That's just too dumb to be true. /s

Well, but she did resign from her office, so I guess that's one thing not to like. But they all have at least one thing not to like. How does she compare on all the major conservative issues?

And the left absolutely hates her.

And Tokyo Rove and the GOP-e absolutely despises her.

But tea party conservatives like her. A lot!

And so do I.

How about you?

Are you ready to turn this country around with an honest to God pro-life, pro-family, pro-gun, God-loving, America-loving patriot and grassroots conservative favorite who we can all be proud of and for whom we will work overtime for a change?

“Palin is not a libertarian.”

Palin most definitely has libertarian leanings....so she is a Libertarians on many issues. Is she a “hard core” libertarian....no...but she leans hard that way. She needs to shuck that line of thinking. Now is defense of Sarah...she is much better than anything else out there right now....but she still is very flawed....a reason she is such an easy target for the left. She is soft on the homosexual issue....something that is NOT “family friendly” or “Pro God” as advertised here.

“And there’s a big damned difference between a libertarian in the traditional sense and a libertine.”

NO THERE IS NOT! Libertarians would allow legal prostitution, drugs, and vile vice of all sorts under the guise of “liberty.” That is to be a Libertine....if you allow it...you are it.

That is like that tired old arguement that “I am personnally against abortion, but I will not hold that to others.” IF abortion is murder, and you allow “murder” to take place right under your nose...that makes you an accompice. Libertarians are SO hung up on what they call “liberty” they do not consider the damage of what they “allow”.....even when they themselves may not partake.

We are ALL our brother’s keeper. The first recorded murderer used the phrase, “am I my brother’s keeper?” to hide what he had done.

I am for true “freedom.” A truly “free” environment is free from vice. Living in a moral sewer is not “freedom.”

Everyone on this thread is falling all over themselves to agree with Jim R.

What a demented mindset to see this thread that way! So if JR never asked .. what you are saying is - conservatives wouldn't support Palin. JR is a bona fide conservative - so what part of conservatives AGREE with each other escapes you? You are clueless to the highest order. You, Boxsford, is odd man out.

and almost pee themselves at the thought of a Palin run.

Actually, I peed on you and all those who are on a conservative site; yet are dumb as rocks as your posts show.

she does divide

Yes, she has remained a proven fighter for our country/Constitution vs. those who take from our country and have their own set of rules for USA. We can also see those who have 'proclaimed' they are FOR America; namely the GOPe/the enemy within; yet, hate conservatism and those who have proven to stand STRONGLY for it. YES - Sarah is a proven fighter FOR America and stands alone vs. the trash of socialism/the left and the weak/GOPe who lean left. The divide is there - choose your side! Conservatives choose to stand FOR AMERICA and not socialism.

She pounds the otherside without mercy....

And that's a good thing. NO mercy for evil! What part of someone standing STRONG for America/Our Constitution - makes you weak?

leaving a bad taste in those damn low information voters mouths

Then it's time for them to gargle away the foulness of liberalism that brings the rottenness of liberalism/socialism on America and that will take care of their bad taste. Unless they chose to remain with that foul odor/BO and bad taste.

Personally, it appears to me that Sarah is about making bank on her name....

Idiotic mindset and no mercy for it! It is ALL about America, not her. Focus your mind on America/Our Constitution and who has demonstrated a drop dead allegiance to it.

I think genuine conservatives can do better than Palin.

To genuine conservatives - there is NO ONE better than Palin.

A genuine leader given to this nation by God is our only hope.

Godly people are not accepted by evil people and evil has captured the minds/hearts of more people than ever before. God gives but man doesn't accept. God doesn't control anyone's voting.

And why is our country in desperate need of hope now? Because we have had liberalism/evil leading our country for far too many years along w/those who are wishy washy.

I’m thinking someone with grace. humility.

There is NO grace for evil. Or NO PC! We cut the rottenness/socialism within as it has spread like cancer. Our Constitution is the Law of The Land and to be followed to it's letter. And only that gives 'WeThePeople' our God-given freedom. Freedom from gov't and all 'their own evil set of rules'. What God has given us, evil is hell bent on taking it away.

Others may disagree -

Unemployment 20% Higher Under Palin while Big Oil in the State Achieves Record Profits

Unemployment under Republican Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin has soared during her tenure as Governor. Alaska’s unemployment rate is now 20% higher than the national average. Additionally, Alaska now has one of the top 10 unemployment rates in the nation.

Despite record profits for oil companies drilling in Alaska, unemployment has continued to soar. $7.6 billion of the estimated $8.5 billion in Alaska’s state tax revenue comes from fees paid by oil companies. (source: Artvoice.com). Additionally, Sarah Palin has recently stated that “it’s God’s will that we drill.” However, corruption and payoffs by big oil have been rampant in the Alaskan government, with the convicted former chairman of a major oil company having spread $400,000 throughout Alaska’s government (including to Sarah Palin’s campaign). Palin was previously in charge of Alaska’s Office of Oil Affairs.

http://labor.alaska.gov/news/2010/news10-16.pdf
You can see the uptick in unemployment after the massive new oil taxes went into effect.

I think this is one of those you will see what you want to see.
I see higher taxes, less oil, fewer jobs and an economy in hurt.

Reports of declining North Slope employment in 2009 were accurate. Over an 11 month period beginning in December 2008, North Slope employment fell by 1,200 jobs, a 13 percent decline...

]It’s getting a bit better now, and the taxes have been lowered. But the real good money jobs are gone, likely to never return.

North Dakota now produces more oil than Alaska. For lower cost - if the trend continues, Alaska may be come the largest ghost town in America.

No your source agrees that the Alaska unemployment increase was well below the national level.

According to Breitbart.

“”Jobs,
Under Palin’s leadership, Alaska was 2nd in job growth, and 3rd in the change in its unemployment rate, compared to the other states. Alaska also saw a record number of oil jobs in both 2008 and 2009, while natural resource and logging jobs increased 13.7% during Palin’s tenure.””

“”Palin cut state spending between 2007 and 2010 by 9.5% while also reducing federal earmark requests by more than 80% during her tenure. She used her line-item veto to cut more than a quarter billion in superfluous spending in both 2007 and 2008. In 2009, she instituted a temporary hiring freeze, while at the same time reducing spending by more than 33% between FY2009 and FY2010.””

“”Long before state pension fund liabilities became a topic of national debate and crisis, Palin reformed Alaska’s pension program by ensuring a successful transition from defined benefits to a defined contribution program to address the $8 billion unfunded liability in the program, making it more solvent and leading to a decrease of 34.6% in state liabilities during her tenure.
In stark contrast to President Obama and other governors whose fiscal records are dogged by credit downgrades, Palin left Alaska with an improved credit rating during and following her tenure as governor. Standard & Poor’s raised Alaska’s credit rating from AA to AA+ in April 2008. Then in 2010, both Moody’s and Standard & Poor’s upgraded Alaska to AAA for the first time in the state’s history due to policies enacted by Palin that made the state’s finances more than solvent.””

I’ve a demented mindset because I view this thread differently than you and some others...maybe even most?
Good grief! No room in your toy box for honest opinion and debate?

No room in your toy box for honest opinion and debate?

It's a misinformed opinion; therefore not honest and that leaves it unsuitable for debate.

Odd man out? Yep. I’m good with that.

On this conservative site that's your intention.

Keep your pom-poms dry.

More of your childish chatter.
