FBI hunting 12-strong terrorist "sleeper cell" linked to brothers Tamerlan and Dzhokhar

The FBI was last night hunting a 12-strong terrorist “sleeper cell” linked to the Boston marathon bomb brothers.

Police believe Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev were specially trained to carry out the devastating attack.

More than 1,000 FBI agents were last night working to track down the cell and arrested a man and two women 60 miles from Boston in the hours before Dzhokhar’s dramatic capture after a bloody shootout on Friday.

A source close to the investigation said: “We have no doubt the brothers were not acting alone. The devices used to detonate the two bombs were highly sophisticated and not the kind of thing people learn from Google.

“They were too advanced. Someone gave the brothers the skills and it is now our job to find out just who they were. Agents think the sleeper cell has up to a dozen members and has been waiting several years for their day to come.”

I know I reference ‘The Jester’ a lot lately, but he is a hacker who fights Jihadis online and is a treasure trove of info (especially his tweets).

He found on the one in custody’s twitter feed some of the contacts who have deleted their accounts since yesterday and is hot on their trail. It is interesting stuff to read.

Agreed. Even 12 is way too many (per cell), unless the cell, and the cell above it, is totally expendable. This assumes those involved know what they are doing in terms of organizational security. Heinlein discusses this concisely in “The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress”.

It’s comparable to the NY Post. But you can be sure that some unit of the FBI is checking out the possibility of the brothers having acted at the behest of others. Hence the re-arrest of the Chechens in Revere.

And meanwhile there are people from all over waiting in line to become migrants to your country and mine. But if they are white, Christian families, they find it impossible to meet the criteria. They need to have a certain amount of funds and be self-supporting; in Australia for example, a white family from South Africa has to be able to buy a business and employ at least three full-time employees to qualify for residency and be able to apply for citizenship.
We have all handed our sovereignty over the the UN, haven’t we?
