So you’re saying that working in Washington, D.C. for the government - at this point in time - is a BAD GIG?!

Typical “Rules for thee but not for me” Limousine Liberal.

And I’d be the farm that, once some of these interns cycle through her office, we’ll find out what a demanding, nasty, self-centered boss she is.

It is legal to pay someone $0 an hour if you call it an internship, but it would be illegal to pay them an hourly wage of $1 or $3 or $5 or any other sub-minimum-wage amount even if it’s an internship. Someone should ask Congress “if people can be trusted to agree to work for no pay, why can’t they be trusted to agree to work for $5 an hour?”

“Typical liberal who is free with other people’s money but niggardly with their own.”

Well, that’s it, you can’t work for the DC government, not with your correct use of that (non-racial) adverb.

RE: How did this woman get elected?

This is Massachusetts my friend.

You can be a drunk who leaves a woman to drown after an accident and be re-elected again and again.

You can be a homosexual who uses his apartment as a gay brothel and be re-elected again and again.

Of course, you can fake your own ancestry and also be elected.

Elizabeth Warren pays interns $0 per hour!

With her wealth, she could easily afford to double their salaries.

Typical liberal, yes, like Biden’s paltry contributions to charity (and he’s supposed to be a Catholic?), and Obama’s indifference toward his half brother in Kenya. Charity to these folks consists of being generous with other people’s money. Remember Bill Clinton’s underwear contribution to charity?

These internships are so highly prized by young people planning a political career congressmen could charge a premium for the job and people would pay. I’m sure that happens under the table. Of course these jobs are limited to the independently wealthy or people with a wealthy sponsor.

Did Dick Gephardt once claim his mother had to collect cans along the side of roads to pay for her medicine?

Thanks SeekAndFind.
Warren actively is seeking interns for her Senate offices. We checked today with Warren’s Senate office, and were told that “all internships are unpaid.” When asked whether they had any paid internships, the office responded “we do not.” Warren is not alone. Unpaid internships in Congress are the norm and appear to be legal because that’s the way Congress wrote the law.
IOW, it's not a campaign issue -- unless one looks at that BS Fauxahontas spewed about $22 / hr. Don't worry though, I'm certain the media will be all over this, the same way they've been all over the Gosnell trial.

This isn’t the whole story. She did secure their services for $24 in beads and trinkets.

“Warren actively is seeking interns for her Senate offices.”
Not sure but I don’t think this grammar is correct. Shouldn’t it be-

Warren is actively seeking...
