‘Stupid and Racist’: Video captures professor ranting against Republican Party

A professor at the University of Southern California (USC) appears to have used a fall semester 2012 political science class to deliver sustained and angered attacks on Republicans, who he characterized as old, white, racist, and “losers.”

In a 15 min. video secretly captured by USC student Tyler Talgo, political science Professor Darry Sragow also appears to endorse the illegal suppression of Republican votes.

“You lose their information on the election in the mail,” he suggested when a student asked him how to keep Republicans from voting. “I mean there is lots of ways to do it [SIC].”

A teaching assistant (TA), who also appeared to work for the university, then seemed to suggest Black Panthers could be placed at polling stations to intimidate Republican voters.

Rather than rebuking the TA, Sragow appeared to confirm the suggestion.

“Yeah, yeah,” he said. “You can do that.”

Same here, and it was an engineering school in the seventies. Plus got a lecture that I should tolerate lab group members showing up for lab class stoned out of their minds while working with 480 volt 3 phase (two in the group had the names Captain Head and the Stoned Ranger).

THE University of Southern California is not associated with the University of California system. It is a single campus, private university with tuition in the $50K/year range - not including housing or the rest of it. The University of California systems is supported by mostly state taxes. It used to be worth it when it was just U.C. Berkeley, U.C.L.A. and one or two others, but that was long ago.

Very interesting tape, I'll see if my nephew had a class from him.

Being a private university, I wonder if this asshat can get the boot that he so richly deserves. What a pathetic tool.

That was very hard to watch especially with the amount of sophisticated brainwashing techniques that he was using on those students. Like most current democrats, leftists, progressives, they have a thing about race and control. They must think since they have racial tendencies that everyone alike does as well or they have crystal balls, all knowing :). My friends from all walks of life do not talk about race unless they engage about a specific culture difference which sometimes, can be very interesting to learn about. The leftists claim we all on the other side should show tolerance though they proclaim themselves with a superior authority to manipulate situations involving a free person’s life. They are troubled to seek this level of accusations. They are truly advancing a communist style rule to where we move away from companies, free market workplace and to where we control our own profits/incomes if we decide to enter a self run business. They seem to have a difficult time controlling their hate towards their fellow citizens. The professor, should be fired because he’s a crackpot and was deliberately misleading those students..
