I think the problem here is that no one in the 1770s worried about nuts. So we have an open situation where nuts can vote, nuts can buy or sell weapons, and nuts can openly kill people and just get off on any major crimes because of their mental issues. There probably should have been some rule in the beginning that if a judge declared you incompetent....you lost out on most of your rights.

The trouble is now....you can’t revisit this without everyone wanting a 40-page list of funny rules added.

This is what my spouse and I have been saying at home. The 2nd Amendment should never be brought up for ANY changes as they’re planning to do. I just don’t know how this has got so out of control. Those people up there don’t even understand the US constitution. We, the people, don’t matter.

Slow down. Ron Johnson is officially on board with the filibuster.

If you cannot be trusted with a gun, you should not be walking the streets.

Pretty simple.

Ron Johnson has signed on to the filibuster and said this:

“I took an oath to uphold the Constitution,” said Senator Ron Johnson, Republican of Wisconsin.

Are they going to have an “up or down” vote, Article by Article and Amendment by Amendment or will one vote for everything do it? The people I hear and the posts I read (ie. CNN) lead me to believe the Constitution will lose in a landslide. The indoctrination at school and on TV has succeeded.

I feel like it’s 1860, and the coming “Fort Sumter Moment” might just be the Congress meeting to rule up or down on the 2nd Amendment.

Hello? Congress doesn’t have the right to just vote out any of the Bill of Rights!

Please take ten minutes and hear Mark Levin spell it out.

Make this go viral!

We need more people putting stuff on Facebook and other sites. Those of us who already do are constantly on the verge of getting banned, but if the load is spread they can't stop us.

Think he needs to get more emotional.

Wait, I know...

The sound of gunfire and explosions in the background.

Getting slowly louder as the speech continues.

Just kidding, that was awesome.

I agree with Levin - heard him lay it all out tonight. Anyone voting for this bill should be impeached or recalled or whatever for violating his/her oath of office.

Even though your senator is on board, write him anyhow.

Tell him how much you appreciate his upholding the Constitution and you'll be sure to remember his stand when or if he runs again for re-election.

Every freeper should always write to thank their representatives when they take the conservative position on an important issue.

These politicians like a pat on the back when they're doing good things because they're just as human as we.

Hey travis, we’re not there yet... although it can’t be long before they’re sending in someone to confiscate the guns.

I think the registration (”background check”) to get everyone’s name and address is just one step for the left. The next of course will be confiscation but that’s a few years away. They always move slowly the left. look at the last 100 years. They’re not as dumb as we think they are. It’s called “INCREMENTALISM”

I’d had more “outrage” if they weren’t just tweaking a law that is already on the books. Why hasn’t he been screaming for the past 10 years to repeal the existing law, if it is unconstitutional?

To all intents and purposes this is 1860 and as you well know there will be no acceptable resolution to the challenges being offered. They will not stop. This is just a continuation of a very old war and what we are witnessing is the end of a temporary ceasefire. Take heart. You stand among friends.

[[I just don’t know how this has got so out of control.]]

Simple- it got so out of control because hte spineless GOP let it get out of control because htey are afraid to stand up to a black president and the main stream media- President Bush woudl blink at just the wrong time and the left would go absoltuely ballistic and demand congressional hearings and demand ‘idependent investigations’ to try to figure out whether he shoudl be impeached or not- and our current ‘dear leader’ VIOLATES our very constitution and the right does absolutely NOTHING except wag their finger and clear their throats and wrinkle their eyebrow in ‘apparent’ disgust-

That is why this got so out of control

“He calls upon Americans to contact their senators.”

Unless the contact he is referring to is that of a Louisville Slugger along side the ear, it is a total waste of time. The King and his court are living the high life and his subjects are becoming annoying.

I’m sick of seeing it, hearing about it and reading about it. I will not register anything, declare anything, certainly not turn anything in, and under no circumstances permit any searches of my home or property. When/if the thugs come up my drive, I will be sitting on my porch, waiting. And it will be what it will be.

I did not wear the uniform only to meekly surrender to my own government. Get some!!

I’d write mine but let me see..Barbara Mikulski.. nope won’t do any good to write that ugly midget. Ben Cardin.. nope his head is so far up Obama’s ass he couldn’t read a letter. Congressional leadership.. Steny Hoyer? Nope, his head is up Ben Cardin’s ass which is stuck in Obama’s.

Could I write my Governor to see if he could talk some sense into our state representatives? Nope, O’Malley is about to sign one of the strictest gun control laws in the country.

All of the assholes in this state are hell bent on governing on personal opinion, ideology and news of the moment politics vice common sense and by the people and for the people.

I wish a long slow painful terminal illness on all of them... Yep, I’m that mean and don’t give a rats ass but not to worry, they’ll have Obamacare to take care of them.

We need more people putting stuff on Facebook and other sites.

I put this kind of stuff up all the time on Facebook and very few if any even "Like" it or comment on it. Now if I put up picture of a dog, cat or any other cute cuddly animal then everyone loves it. I'm afraid people just don't care anymore. Especially those under 30 YOA.
