So I'm driving along and turn my Sirius radio on and still, nearly two months later, there is no FoxNews Talk.
See, I like Hannity. He's A great cheerleader but, that's as far as his content is and I can't stand his idiotic setups throughout the week where he and his guests get involved in a discussions that devolves into mindless drive that, on the radio, is crosstalk. That probably works on TV but on the radio it's just aggravating noise.
So I like Tom Sullivan and other hosts as an alternative and FoxNews Talk was opening me to other viewpoints and broader subjects.
But, two months in and Sirius is acting like a monopolistic confederacy and is not budging on their demands to FoxNews Talk.
I also like Cam and Co. And NRA radio.
So here is how it is "Sadly not Series": YOU'RE FIRED!"
I been using that term since I was sixteen and bu the time I get around to saying it I absolutely mean it.
There are alternatives to your crap business model such as Pandora and iHeart radio.
I have moved on and your business won't survive.
I won't be renewing my subscription on any of my cars. That's five cars that you just lost as a customer and I save 500-600 bucks a year.
Buh Bye.....Plicks ..
Pandora......
Gotta agree, Hannity is just really bad radio.
On the bright side Sirius XM just signed an exclusive deal with Michael Smerconish. Does that make you any happier?
Didn’t think so.
I agree. I want Fox Talk back. It’s a good alternative to FNC when they just get silly — such as on The Five, Shepherd Smith, Fox & Friends, or Geraldo. Now I switch to the Catholic Channel when any of those programs get ridiculous.
not so much
My biggest beef is the poor audio quality. I definitely will not renew my subscription.
Fox News Talk was my favorite channel. Hannity and Beck I can listen to for only short intervals. The comedy of Beck and crew can be grating sometimes, and Hannity rarely inquires into a given topic with any depth. That’s why I loved listening to Tom Sullivan, Brian Kilmeade and John Gibson. They offer decent analysis of topics in and out of politics each with a different tone. I listen the days I work from home online.
Sirius has very little in the way of decent talk programs...but plenty of liberal crap like Stars, POTUS, CNN, etc. I do like to listen to Andrew Wilkow, the religious channels and the World Radio Network once in a while. I renewed in February after they cancelled FNT for $5/month for five months (an attempt to stem the cancellations). If they don’t continue that offer in July, I’m probably going to drop it. $5/month is all it is worth.
I miss Kilmeade and Friends Loved that and sometimes got a kick out of Gibson
Suspect Hannity’s tv ratings are falling as well...he, Coulter, and Rove helped push Romney down our throats, now they are gonna pay.
The quality of the programming morphed to a mass of commercials interlaced with low grade content/programming. No better the commercial AM radio. There is no reason to pay for that junk anymore.
Isn’t there anything we can do- I listen in the car and I’m lost now!
bababooey, bababooey
Funny thing is, I just sent my Mom a Rose Wave machine and was going send her a sirius radio to attach to it, for Mothers Day.
Skip that. She’s getting an IPad instead.
I am seriously irritated at their their strong arming of FoxNews Talk.
Does that come with tahini sauce or hummus?
When I’m in my car, I like to get away from today’s world for a while.
I love my Sirrus Radio. I keep it tuned to rebroadcasts of the shows of my youth—Gun Smoke, Fibber McGee and Molly, Bob Hope, etc etc.
If I want to get really depressed, I’d probably listen to Hannity and the like.
Also, I don’t watch television “news”. It’s much easier on the heart and blood pressure to read it on FR.
Sent my Mom a “Bose Wave”.
Stoopit phone.
According to some there won’t be in dash radio in automobiles within five years.
It’s interesting, yours is the exact opposite complaint I had/have with Sirius.
You see, the Sirius app that you can play on your iPhone ( or Galaxy or whatever), that is free to download and costs $2.99 to activate as its own “radio” (although if course it’s really a streaming signal) has in it’s “news/talk” section Fox News Radio. But it doesn’t have Fox News, unlike “real” satellite radios.
I have a car now that has a sattelite radio unit so now I use that to listen to Fox News. But it did drive me crazy they didn’t have Fox News on the app! They still don’t either.
I never found Fox News Radio very interesting. I thought the hosts were rather bland. Is that what you mean by “Fox News Talk”? If so, you could’ve just downloaded the app and played it on whatever smartphone you have, even in your cars, for an additional $2.99 a month.
