Undercover cops fatally shot a teenager in Brooklyn last night after he pointed a loaded gun at an officer, police sources and witnesses said.
Kimani Gray, 16, was shot in the leg and stomach when he whipped out a .38-caliber revolver after adjusting the waistband on his pants, said cops.
The two undercover officers, driving a red umarked car, had approached the group of teens because they were acting suspiciously on East 52nd Street near Snyder Street in East Flatbush just before 11:30 p.m.

Darn I would have not been surprised if they posted a grammar school picture ala Trevon.
Scuse me while I whip this out....
Funniest thing I’ve read all day.
“38 ,39 -357,358 what ever it took”
Mr. Mom was a riot of a movie.
He was probably grandstanding in front of his "bros" and went to grab his "package" after a failed slur or joke; only this time he grabbed the wrong "package".
He would have gotten shot if it was a realistic looking toy.
I hate when that happens.
[this is my rifle....this is my gun..]
A short and inglorious life.
Way back in 1968, at the tender age of 25, I bought a S&W Model 19 .357 and, never having fired a .357 round, took it out to a desolate group of sand dunes a mile or so away from my folks’ home just to see what it sounded like. I fired two .357 rounds at about 4:00 p.m. without ear protection. My ears were still ringing at 10:00 p.m. I’ve never fired that revolver again without ear protection.
A note on criminal technique: When attempting to fire, they will often yell blatant lies hoping to confuse those they intend to shoot. They do this, because sometimes it works, causing a moments hesitation in their victim.
Like in this case, *while* drawing down on the cops, as the cops opened fire, “he was screaming, ‘Stop! Im not running,!’”
Which is technically true, he was not running. He was preparing to shoot the cops. Hardly a good justification for them ‘stopping’. In the right circumstances it might stimulate the crowd to turn on the officers as well.
This also works in other ways. Expert unarmed martial artists sometimes use the trick of beating the heck out of someone *while* profusely apologizing, pretending that what they are doing is a chain of accidents. This may cause some hesitation in their victim, or if done properly, also confuses onlookers as to what is really happening.
If I am not mistaken, R Lee Ermey said that.
He would own a $10,000 one of a kind Citori and shoot Skeetles ... all payed for by non-sequestered taxpayer dollars.
How much fire power did the cops lay on? The cops only hit Kimani twice, once fatal?

First 2 in this comparison pic are the 357 Magnum and the 38 Special. Roughly 1/8” longer case on the 357 but much larger powder charge is normally loaded.
Here is a very good article comparing many hand gun cartridges. The number that will accept the same diameter bullet is amazing.

Most of those who shoot do not know how many bullets can be substituted in a pinch. I have a 170 grain bullet mold that I bought to cast bullets for my Winchester 94 30/30, but the same bullet can be loaded in both 308 and 30-06 cartridges. It works fine.
In the even it is hard to get factory bullets, cast pistol and rifle bullets are a good substitute. Expecially on the pistols, because of the slower muzzle velocity.
He would have gotten shot if it was a realistic looking toy.
“Also, was it a 38 or 357?”
Maybe a.357 loaded with 38’s
He was such a good boy ...
No, he was a stupid boy who died because he was a moron with a gun. Think of his passing as culling the gene pool of the unfit for civil society.
I have fired Astra semi aura pistols. Not bad. Heard of Rohm. Never saw one. I can’t get a clear picture on my smart phone.
I love revolvers and semi auto pistols. I am old school though and prefer my smiths, colts, Rugers and 1911s. I have heard good and bad things about Glocks. But if I was going to buy European it would be sig, beretta or Walther and metal. (Though for pocket carry on a hot day I might consider a Ruger LCP or LC 9. My son has an LCP and at feel your hot breath distances it never fails to function)
I wonder if black powder can be substiuted as a propellent in case ammo "in an emergency"?
