Bills are being quietly introduced and voted on soon!
There are 2 bills in the Senate in Florida #1670 http://www.flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2013/1670
and 1234 http://www.flsenate.gov/Session/Bill/2013/1234
1670 is an Assault Weapons Ban and Large Capacity Magazine Ban and 1234 is an additional tax on Guns and Ammo to pay for Mental Health needs.
We as Floridians need to light up the phones and make sure that our duly elected officials know that we oppose any BANS and additional taxes... I suggested that they use some Obamacare money for the mental health issues.....
How about, “No?”
I won’t obey so-called gun laws. Why should you?
You have an *ABSOLUTE RIGHT* via 2nd amendment and “natural rights”. PERIOD.
I’m so sick of this.
I'm in Texas and I watch our introduced bills carefully - so far the only gun-related bills have been Pro-gun... but you are right on to be watching all approaches for attack.
It's the same as having Feinstein waving her ban-everything hand over there, while dozens of bills are introduced to do the same thing, piecemeal, of over here.
These Libs are sneaky - we must be vigil!
Also in Texas.
Once the Leftists get an idea in their heads, it never goes away. EVER!
The bottom line is, they can pass all the laws they want, but most people simply will not comply, and that will lead to disaster for government. Turning most of your population into criminals, only gives them the incentive to act like it, when they otherwise wouldn’t. It will be a can of worms that they will regret. The officials pushing this stuff, have an address, and a family.
Florida banning rifles and magazines? Until Obama won there last year I would have laughed.
The problem is businesses will comply. In fact our rights have already been infringed dramatically as I don’t think anyone can just buy a lot of weapons directly from the manufacturer.
So if the gov increases tax or bans certain weapons, the “legal” distributors (store owners) will be the ones that comply.
Or am I missing something?
Not until all the leftist are voted out of office because of their anti-Americn muslim ideas

Yes they are. In Missouri the MO Dept. of Revenue was Caught Working with DHS on Backdoor Gun Registration. It took a TRO by the LT. Gov. to stop it.
No, thank g-d I don’t live in MO. but such actions by unelected state officials at the Dept of Rev. raise concerns that any lib leaning state worker, in any state, could be influenced into working with the DHS or other gov. agency’s underhanded policies like this.

Alarm sent to all freedom loving contracts in my social network and e-mail sent to senator in my district. printed letter to follow, along with phone calls.
suggestion kas.... might have admin mod add “(assault weapon ban law filed in FL)” to title to get more attention to the article.
thanks for calling attention to these bills!
From the Florida Constitution
SECTION 8. Right to bear arms.
(a)
The right of the people to keep and bear arms in defense of themselves and of the lawful authority of the state shall not be infringed, except that the manner of bearing arms may be regulated by law.
(b)
There shall be a mandatory period of three days, excluding weekends and legal holidays, between the purchase and delivery at retail of any handgun. For the purposes of this section, purchase means the transfer of money or other valuable consideration to the retailer, and handgun means a firearm capable of being carried and used by one hand, such as a pistol or revolver. Holders of a concealed weapon permit as prescribed in Florida law shall not be subject to the provisions of this paragraph.
Ironic, isn't it, considering that the jihadis in the Middle East are never without their full-auto AKs.
In light of the Heller SCOTUS decision, I can’t see how any of these gun grabs pass judicial review.
“Florida banning rifles and magazines? Until Obama won there last year I would have laughed.”
Remember that he won there, TWICE.
Florida is no longer a “red” state. It’s hardly purple.
It’s got a bad case of “blue shift”.
They ought to do the same thing with Florida as with New York — that is, cut off the southern end of the state from the north, and make it into two states. In each case, the new dual-states will be _very_ different politically...
“Yes they are. In Missouri the MO Dept. of Revenue was Caught Working with DHS on Backdoor Gun Registration. It took a TRO by the LT. Gov. to stop it.”
Missouri has a long past history of being an “anti-gun rights” state.
For more info, read John Ross’ “Unintended Consequences”
(which, if you support Second Amendment rights, you should have already read, in any case )
