Out of control thuggery in the NBA is such old news that it is not even news anymore.
Now Chamique steps up to show that the WNBA is not going to take a back seat to the men’s league in any respect. And the domestic abuse was against her girlfriend, too!

With a bit of makeup Jennifer Lacy looks pretty good. Maybe she decided to change teams.

Well she could become a supreme court justice...... after all, lots of famous basketball athletes have gone on to become great legislators. uh.... well at least they’ll be great companions if a lesbian becomes president. She could travel and keep the president happy with companionship.

Badger, wolverine, WNBA player...which has the nastiest disposition?

I had ESPN on while I was doing something, and a woman sports reporter was interviewing Brittney Griner of Baylor. I heard a man speaking and I looked, and it was Brittney Griner speaking. Yeesh!

Unlike their NBA counterparts, at least WNBA players aren’t having dozens of illegitimate children.

This is actually a crying shame...I knew Chamique Holdsclaw years ago while she was a student and ballplayer at the University of Tennessee. She was very intelligent and articulate and earned straight A's in her classes (NOT of the 'basketweaving' variety but real serious stuff).
Somewhere along the way though she fallen into that gang banging ghetto culture that inevitably leads to prison, and now here she is.

I was in a hotel lobby a few years back, TV tuned into ESPN which was airing a WNBA game. A graphic of stats for the game was shown and the announcer said "This is what you'll be talking about tomorrow at work near the water cooler..." I wondered if that happened anywhere across America. People at work saying "So did ya see the WNBA game last night? Team A shot 52% while Team B was held to 33%."
