This is actually a crying shame...I knew Chamique Holdsclaw years ago while she was a student and ballplayer at the University of Tennessee. She was very intelligent and articulate and earned straight A's in her classes (NOT of the 'basketweaving' variety but real serious stuff).
Somewhere along the way though she fallen into that gang banging ghetto culture that inevitably leads to prison, and now here she is.
I think she also had severe mental problems...maybe suicidal....she sat out a year or so due to her problems...
sad part is that violence is a big problem in the homosexual "communities" and yet we have to teach it in schools as being equal to heterosexuality.
