The state controlled “media” has started a new fad. Shooting people. It’s the “next big thing” these days.
The Channel 2 Action News team shot a teacher?
High school, likely majority black.
Doesn’t have the pull. Most white libs see it as typical black behavior, and they thank their atheist that they live in a “good” neighborhood.
No deaths? Only injuries? Rhetorical question: Why is this national news?
Then again, AJC isn’t “national news”. ;-)
Just saw, on TV, a young white man in cuffs being put in a police car. Described him as the suspect in the shooting.
Thanks MSM/Democrats for all the "gun-free" zones.

I'm presuming that Carver High was named after George Washington Carver. Since FReepers are, by far, the most intelligent collection of people on the web, I'm hoping that someone can shed light on whether G.W. Carver was a homosexual or not.
He never married, shunned advances from women (or so the story goes) and did live with a man, Austin Wingate Curtis, from 1934 until Carver's death in 1943. Upon his demise, all of Carver's estate went to Curtis. There are varying views on this and I'm sure a FReeper can set the record straight (pun very much intended). I don't trust the credibility of 95% of what's scattered on the web but I do have near total trust in the Free Republic membership.
Thanks in advance to those I've pinged for their long record of accuracy and for anyone else who may have researched the matter.

Carver with Curtis shown in inset.
Just for clarity the shooting was at Price Middle School, not Carver High School as first reported.
Okay, thus far we have local media ONLY covering the story; we couldn’t even get the right school ID’ed on the first try; and we don’t know how many casualties.
We DO know that the school is locked down, kids separated from their parents, and the mad media dash to the mikes has yet to commence.
According to the radio reporter at the scene the school is surrounded by dozens of parents trying to get their kids and the school won’t release them. Might get ugly.
It would if I was one of those parents
Thanks MSM/Democrats for all the "gun-free" zones.
There were a dozen or so comments after the article blaming Republicans for the shooting. I posted something about liberals creating "no resistance zones" for lunatics and shortly after the comments were closed.
Yes...that key bit of data came in during the time I was preparing my post. Thanks much.
Still, since at the time I was composing the message it was thought to be Carver High School, the question still stands about the homosexuality (or not) of George Washington Carver. There's so much misinformation out there from people with an agenda that I know I can depend upon FR members to cut through the garbage and provide the truth.
For example, here's one such article from an overtly biased source. That alone may be sufficient to conclude that Carver was not a sodomite since this "Truth Wins Out" website is likely spinning the facts to fit their pro-homosexual (I steadfastly refuse to use the term "gay" for this perversion) stance.
My son’s school was in lock down once, and I was lied to about it. It happened exactly at pick up time, and the school was locked down, parents locked out- no one to answer the phone and no one had any idea of what was going on.
Then when I finally saw my son, he told me that they were late because they had to pass out report cards.
Then I found out he was taken into the auditorium with the entire school and told, by the principal, not to talk to parents or the press about what had happened with lock down.
Then I found out they had found a kid selling pot in the locker room from another parent. When I talked to the principal about the POV of the parent waiting for the children to come out and facing a locked building, she told me that the school was NOT locked. That was her answer to everything.
It was a total farce and I was so pissed off.
I wouldn’t trust any public school employee about a single thing.
Probably was bullied by the blacks.
I know some east side ATL neighborhoods have been colonized/gentrified by young white hipsters from other parts of the country.
They always looked shocked on the news when they are victims of the ubiquitous crime there.
They didn't seem toget the memo that ATL is one of the most crime-ridden places in the country.

Interesting, but what difference would it make if he were gay? Did he force his lifestyle upon you and society? Did he flaunt about with his “partner”? Dd he try to indoctrinate children? Dd he try to change existing marriage laws?
No? Then why dig? Just curiosity?
All I can remmember from school is that Carver found hundreds of uses for nuts.
Well...what do they expect....it’s where the crazies can go without fear of any guns to fight back....sheesh.
This is a reasonably tough area. Go about 2 miles further south and it is a war zone, but this is not exactly pristine territoriy.
Confermnd report WSB radio..Price Middle School..14yr old student shot in head, alert, and breathing, shot outside the school..another student in custody..area schools still on lock down. One teacher injured not life threating. Handgun was found hidden outside..SWAT teams in camo..some squating outside, some still entering the school. They say school will be let out at regular time.
Students are told not to talk to the press? Baloney.
I don’t know, nor do I know where to find out factual info. I read kids’ biographies of him as a child and he was sort of a hero to me.
Then a few years ago I read more stuff indicating he was a homosexual. So it looks from what you posted, and what I read before (he was into men massaging each other, and there might be more details I can’t remember) that he may indeed have been homosexual. I guess the best that could be said is that at least he didn’t push the homo agenda.
It would be good if a truthful historian could look into it but that is not likely to happen.
And we're going to hear this kind of stuff Ad nauseam for the next month as Black History Month descends upon the land. Why not set aside the entire school year to teach actual American History each and every month?
By the way, that's among the reasons why I seek to find out if George Washington Carver was a homosexual. If it turns out that he was and is celebrated throughout February as a hero, it's another reason why Black History Month is a complete fraud.

87% Black
12% Hispanic
1% Asian
0% White
If it’s true the suspect is white then much of the blame falls on the parent/s who knowingly put the kid into a 0% White environment.
Might be one of those “white hispanics” dontcha know...
Also not to tell their parents! She told them not to talk to anyone!
I'll respect you if you'll do likewise for me. So I kindly ask that you use a term other than "gay" to describe those who are this sort of sexual deviant. I'm 70 and recall a better era when "Deck the Halls" could be sung without a snicker with the lyrics, "don we now our gay apparel". I'd like to see the word "gay" restored to its rightful meaning before it was sullied by the homosexual lobby.
That said, it is mostly to satisfy to my curiosity since there are conflicting narratives about George Washington Carver. And, as I've stated elsewhere in this thread, with "Black History Month" approaching, I'd simply like to know if an individual portrayed as a hero was actually a sodomite.
I'll confess that I take a harder line than many (even some here on FR) regarding this issue. Even if one is discreet about the practice, it's still an abomination in the eyes of Almighty God. And I think if Carver were a deviant, he could have sought redemption from Christ, repented and changed his lifestyle. My hope is that he was merely eccentric or an "odd duck" as we used to say.
In closing, I thank you for your thought-provoking response and I hope that, with my candor, I've provided an explanation.
what we need is more laws to stop lawbreakers from breaking the current laws. Only by passing more restrictive laws and creating a more burdensome environment for law abiding citizens will criminals think twice about breaking the additional new laws that will not add anything to their sentences and be used as a bargaining chip by the defense to get lighter sentencing.
The media obviously - including Fox - can’t wait to hype this up breathlessly as another mass-murder incident.
It’s sounding all the while just another over-aggressive fight gone bad with common thugs. Just like that event in TX last week at the special college. Nothing but common fight with guns that happened to be at a school, but we had to have coverage all day.
Welcome back!
Wiki (I know) says he had a woman around 40.
Don’t underestimate the desire of homos and their apologists to turn every single famous man into 1 of them, for normalcy and acceptance.
Give the man a break, he was elder. He may not’ve wanted marriage but wanted companionship in his elder years. He may’ve been a confirmed bachelor. My uncle was after his jilting by a woman he was crazy about. He was not gay, although he always lived alone, dying at age 88 by himself. Damned good conservative. Anyway I think it’s possible men can
be good pals who live together.
Shhhhh.
Amazing, how the MORE the Obama buttlicking media and their hero talk about guns there seem to be MORE shootings...
crazy, huh?
Excellent comments from re_nortex and the OlLine Rebel.
After making my response above to re_nortex, I started thinking along the lines of Rebel. Sometimes men and women decide for various reasons not to marry - disappointment, broken hearts, not much sex drive, other interests or missions in life that are more important, and so on.
And same sex companionship or friendship does NOT automatically mean sexual perversion, although now the pervs and their assistants would like us to think so.
And I agree with re_nortex that homosexual behavior even if discreet is not normal, not natural, not benign and is a grave character and behavioral flaw and immoral. A person suffering from same sex disorder is to be pitied and offered help; there are many organizations both secular and religious based that help homosexuals become free of their perverted attractions or at least be able to control their behavior.
And if a homosexual does not want to change, nothing can help them; and if they want to force their perversion on society, they need to be put back into the closet.
We are now on the edge of a precipice. What happens next, whatever way it goes, is not going to be pretty or easy. And the precipice is not just about the homo agenda being forced on us, but it is a not insignificant part of the leftist tyranny.
Er, what the devil does this have to do with the topic?
And I must concur that this has been a very rewarding exchange of thoughts with some interesting perspectives that made me reevaluate my own thoughts in a new light. The sodomites have so spoiled the landscape that we ofttimes reflexively -- and wrongly -- think the worst when we see two men together.
I appreciate everyone airing their well-considered opinions on this. And since I'm a big fan of peanuts as a snack (and will be consuming plenty this Sunday while watching a certain football game that comes around this time of year), looks like George Washington Carver is off the hook! :-)
Thanks for your response. i appreciate your honesty and I respect your opinion on the matter.
Topic drift occurs frequently and although I generally don't like it myself, I'll admit to going down the cul de sac on this one.
What led to my initial remarks were that the school was first reported as Carver High. And with the barrage of slanted history (for a whole month) about to come our way in less than 24 hours, just seeing the name "Carver" piqued my interest since I've long heard conflicting stories about him in terms of what I discussed. I did momentarily consider starting a new thread but, as it turned out, it was just a slight detour from the main subject of the thread.
The surest way to get kids to talk is to tell them not to, just to prove to officials that they do, in fact, have that right.
Who wants to send their kids to a school where officials feel they have the right to tell their students not to talk about an incident at their school? Parents have the right to know everything that is going on in that school and students have the right to inform them and anyone else they choose to, even the press..
Well, that is what happened. My son wouldn’t tell me what happened, he told me the story he was told to repeat, because he felt threatened by her.
True story.
One of the sad things about all the faggotry out there is that the concept of 'brotherhood' has gone by the wayside in the public psyche. There was a time when males who were good friends could live under the same roof without people assuming they were homosexuals.
Carver was an outstanding scientist with a passion for his work. Often that is incompatible with marital relationships.
If Curtis shared Carver's passion for his work, Carver may have left his estate to Curtis to continue it.
IIRC, he invented peanut butter, and refused to make money off a patent. He saw it as a cheap source of protein for poor people. For some, that alone makes him a bit of a ‘hero’. His botanical work was outstanding, and I had a great great aunt who exchanged cuttings and corresponded with him. He earned his position in history, regardless of the month, and unlike many of the ‘celebrated’, imho.
