WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) One of the biggest surprises in President Barack Obamas second inaugural address this week was the prominence given to climate change, marking it as a signature issue for his second term.
The president spoke of the need to preserve the planet for future generations. But he also couched climate change in more immediate economic terms, with leadership on the issue as a necessary component for the U.S. to maintain its economic preeminence.

We cannot cede to other nations the technology that will power new jobs and new industries we must claim its promise, Obama said. That is how we will maintain our economic vitality.
It is a theme he enunciated back in his 2008 campaign, describing green jobs as a way to restore growth. But that focus got lost in the shuffle as an insufficient response to the economic downturn and the debate over health care pushed it down the priority list during his first term.
The last thing the world needs now is more hot air on the subject of climate change. A White House summit that is only talk would not help much the issue has been talked to death.

Just think of all the taxpayer-funded goodies the Obama "famiglia" can bestow upon its crony capitalist supporters. Solyndra was a mere drop in the bucket. So-called Climate Change is a cash cow that will create enormous political power and huge profits for the leftist elites.
I think one those people that love to start those petitions on the White House site should start one calling for recall election to remove Obama and Biden from office. I bet the numbers would go through the roof in no time! I know it would just be a statement, but oh what fun it would be!
Let’s see.....The ONE will need to change the tilt of the earth’s axis, or change the orbit of the earth, or prevent the oceans from off-gassing CO2 (the real source of increased atmospheric CO2), or stop fish and all mammals from farting, or prevent the sun from affecting the weather, and maybe violate several other laws of physics....and then “global warming/climate change” will be solved.
How can they go FORWARD with something disproven? Rhetorical question, apologies but it aggravates me to no end we’ll be pissing good money into another black hole.

How many debates were focused on banning guns, putting women in the military, pushing through same sex marriage and divorce, giving billions to the global warming scam, etc?
The big issues of the day were the taxers’ conspiracy theories that Mitt Romney had submitted falsified tax papers (papers please) and whether or not Republicans were in womyns’ uteruses.
I miss “global warming”. It’s now “climate change”, doncha know! Betting on the red and the black, on odd and even at the roulette table. But then double zero comes up and you lose anyway, sucker!
