Saturday afternoon, January 19th, U.S. Representative Bob Goodlatte (VA 6th District) and his wife Maryellen were making the rounds in the Salem, VA gun show.
Congressman Bob Goodlatte was seen wandering among the tables, introducing himself, shaking hands and talking with vendors, shoppers, and constituents.
Goodlatte, as chairman of the House Judiciary Committee will be overseeing the hearings on the Benghazi massacre.
From a brief conversation a friend had with him, it was learned that Rep. Darrell Issa from CA will continue to head up the investigation into Fast & Furious. Personally, I was very pleased to see Rep. Goodlatte and his wife out meeting and greeting among his staunchest supporters.
Personally, I think he's done a pretty decent job for the 6th District.
Let's hope he feels safer hanging out with his constituents at a gun show than he does about being surrounded by the democrats in D.C.

By the way, guns and ammo were limited and prices were getting toward astronomical.

Goodlatte .... maybe there’s a (very) ‘few good men’ left (in Congress).

Maybe. Did I mention he has this key committee chairmanship thanks to John Boehner? This concerns me.

That would concern me, too ..... actions speak louder than words and gun show appearances so we’ll see what the ‘reality on the ground’ is by what he does running the committee.

Well I think it's encouraging that maybe he's one of us... but as said, actions speak louder than words.
Goodlatte chairs the Judicial committee to which the many leftist House Resolutions have been sent.
HR 21
HR 34
HR 117 (this one may be in the House committee)
HR 137
HR 138
HR 141
HR 142
HR 226
HR 227
HR 236
HR 238
Here's hoping he does right and none of these make it to the floor - cause who knows how many 'Pus will roll over and vote for them.
Bottling them up in committee is the first line of defense.
