"Most people are law-abiding citizens and may go ahead and sell those or turn those over, but you're going to have a fraction of people that are going to take a stand, and I can just predict a Waco-style standoff in some rural area and it's not going to end well," Gloversville, New York Mayor Dayton King (R) said about New York state's new gun control laws that Gov. Cuomo recently signed into law.

Let it work its way through the courts. It won’t stand.

.... but Mayor Dayton King (R) of Gloversville, New York .
What are they going to do drive their tanks up the driveway break the windows in and fill our homes with flamable gas?
Mayor King, I say to you: “The British are coming.”
Recall how that turned out.
A key thing at Waco was after the initial exchange of gunfire, did the Feds fire indiscriminantly from helicopters down onto a large structure known to contain women and kids? It’s important because 4 people died as a result of that gunfire.
The claim of the feds was emphatic; they only shot in cases where it could be clearly seen that there were armed hostile people. But the civilians inside said the fire rained down on them through the roof, and from many sides.
The structure contained those bullet holes —those were evidence.
The burning of the whole structure ensured that this important evidence would not come out.
“it’s not going to end well”
Uh Yeah!!
After they shoot the dog.
Respect the constitution and all that ugliness disappears just like that.
“Most people are law-abiding citizens and may go ahead and sell those or turn those over...”
This fool is high. Seriously?
Nanny State bump for later........
The Feds ALWAYS fight dirty with no consideration given to “collateral damage”. Of course they fired from the helicopters.
If one reviews the history of modern federal sieges they always seem to end in conflagrations.
They had a chopper ready to go to drop flammable liquids on Randy Weaver’s cabin in Idaho to burn up THAT evidence but some of the locals found out and would have been witnesses so they abandoned the idea. The rats can’t stand the daylight.
Remember this when owebama orders HIS feds to get YOUR guns.
What Mister King is saying that the government will murder these citizens who are trying to protect their rights, just like they did to the dozens and dozens of men, women and children at Waco.
What Mister King does not realize, his problem [he and his government] is more pervasive this time. It isn't the case of a religious extremist being made to seem dangerous; it's a case of the Democrats, Media and rabid controlling liberals demonizing law-abiding citizens.
onservatives should think about abandoning liberal cess pits like NY State and move to areas where their productivity, taxes and votes will make a difference.
Its easy to see that eventually the blue states are going to go the way of California.
Mayor King didn’t Make any predictions on how it would end.
Waco, and the media presentation, and the after-action reports were nothing but murderous lies based primarily in cover up..
Yeah, if the commies push it THAT far, there won’t be any sitting ducks again. That was ATF’s one shot mass murder deal.
It`s time for the RC Banzai Kamikaze Kiddie Show!
reverse that.
NYC should be quaranteened and made into a holding area for those who inist on gun free zones.
Keep bloomberg (doomberg) in there with cuomo and his ilk. No soda pop, no red meat, no caffine , no bad food, no cars. Just a left wing paradise.
I got only 2 things to say:
1. Molotov
2. Cocktail
and you in government desire it to occur, through your assinine and unconstitutional infringement actions.
no, these asshats want the damage to occur. because that’s their excuse to justify themselves then. see, they were nuts, they wouldn’t turn them over.
good is evil, evil is good. they make the unconstitutional lawful, and the lawful, into criminals by their unconstitutional laws.
That is their objective. A couple of those and their hope is that Americans will bow and kiss their boots.
Because NYC is a fashion capitol and the NYPD like to dress the part they are given.
Um this time city hall will be the branch dividian compound jackoffs.
A question out of curiousity: If one is a NY citizen owning banned guns and moves them to a state where a second home or relative is located, is he still in violation? Seems to me this might be an encroachment on neighboring state laws as well.
History repeats.
Our revolutionary era commissioners in Europe, among them John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, John Jay, were astounded at the grinding poverty of the masses and the wealth of the nobles. That the princes feared the peasants was evident by their heavily armed security entourages. Government buildings were also stoutly defended by muskets with bayonets fixed.
They were relieved that in our fledgling republics, where the people were sovereign, and government was servant and not master, the specter of standing armies to protect the government was an irrelevant impossibility.
In the 1970s I saw much the same in various Navy liberty ports in Europe; soldiers always posted at various points throughout the cities. I thanked God that would never happen in America.
Now, in my tiny county in north Florida, (population 15,000) I must go through a metal detector manned by an armed deputy to enter the courthouse. To enter the county commissioners meeting room within the courthouse, I must do the same; empty pockets and submit to a search.
I refuse to fly on an airline for the same reason I will not again enter my county courthouse; I am not a criminal, I am not dangerous and refuse to conduct myself as if I were.
I don't think the ruling class understands they are fast losing all legitimacy. When that happens, order can only be maintained by pure force, and not reason.
They will never take my guns.
Dayton King does not sound like a Republican.
But then again, what does a (R) sound like these days?
exactly.
In order to “save the children” — Reno sent in the tanks and burned them alive.
four times more the carnage than Sandy Hook
Ah, but you don’t understand — all those security measures are for YOUR protection because of the many terrorists around.
You do remember 9/11/2001, don’t you with all them airplanes colliding with all them buildings?
Now do you remember what “religion” all of the terrorists practiced — every one of them? Don’t tell me, let me guess.
Since then we have imported millions of these religionists and more are coming in every day and your life is now in much more danger than what it was 30 years ago.
Do you now understand why there are so many people running around in body armor carrying assault rifles? It is all for your own good. But why continue importing these religionists, you’ll ask.
That’s the Catch 22.
And no pork products.
I don’t think the ruling class understands they are fast losing all legitimacy. When that happens, order can only be maintained by pure force, and not reason.
The ruling class also forgets we know where they live or can be found.
If I remember my history, subject population when deprived of the same sort of weapons that the ruling class and their “men-at-arms” used came up with ingenious alternatives.
China and Japan, Korea and many of the other Asiatic nations developed unarmed combat regimens. Some even learned how to adapt common farming implements into amazing weapons.
My point here is that once they set foot on the road to tyranny and set themselves above the people they were elected to serve then all bets are off. They obviously have thought about this for some time now and now they intend to act.
How the people reacts should be totally unconventional and asymmetric in turn. Another Freeper has talked of a Militia of one. It’s a good idea to me. One can keep a secret, two have a difficult time doing so.
Apparently Mayor King thinks the U.S. is a long way down the road to open totalitarianism. We should heed his warning and prepare appropriately.
Oh, they'll think about it all right. But for 99.5%, actually moving would be quixotic, hugely inconvenient, and might have unpleasant financial ramifications.
“...Why do the New York PD need to be outfitted like they are in Afghanistan?...”
In case us peons get “uppity”...
A long, long time ago, I remember other uniforms and helmets that looked eerily similar... and a little guy with a funny mustache and greasy hair was telling them to take the peoples’ guns then, too...
Funny how that works, ain’t it?
We all know how THAT turned out. Lessons for people in power to remember...
They better. They are on notice.
We already know what happens in a “Waco-style standoff.”
Indeed, just like with Ben Gahzi, they are trying to blame our free speech or guns for terrorist activities or their own this time.
We are in a state of war against a terror aparatus as the emotions of lunatic liberals and their vote seduction politicians are turning more knee jerk by the minute.
Interestingly the so called moderate in this country are also grabbing at some extremism straws of blame in order to justify the normalcy of relations they have with these obvious virtual pedophiles doing Barney songs against gun clingers in the White house, so to speak.
It’s all about kiddie seduction, folkes, and Obambie is good at it, trained since youth.
On a VERY windy day..
I have another relative, ex marine, collector and gun enthusiast all his life. Teaches gun safety. I really fear what will happen if the Feds or state attempted to confiscate. He has no children, and would take a stand. I also know state troopers that will not enforce confiscation if ordered.
They had plenty of opportunities to capture David K. in town and didn't.
Every indication to me is that Kouresh was a looney toon, but no how, no way should this had ended with so many innocents dead.
Gubbamint was WAY outta line.
>>Most people are law-abiding citizens and may go ahead and sell those or turn those over...
This fool is high. Seriously?<<
Yea, right? I also thought this was one dumb @$$ comment.
Yet, somehow, there was never a government investigation to determine exactly how it came to be.
With a Democrat president, a Democrat Senate and a Democrat House, nobody seemed to want to know how the biggest domestic slaughter since Wounded Knee had transpired.
>>moves them to a state where a second home or relative is located, is he still in violation?<<
Just make it to Texas brother, we have what’s called the “castle doctrine”.
In other words, you may transport a loaded weapon in your vehicle and it’s as if the auto is your home.
Texas’ answer to carjackings.
God Bless the Republic of Texas.
Remember Elian Gonzales? Lil Cuban boy, on American soil, was ripped from his uncles home by black hooded jack boots and sent back to a communist country. Very disturbing.
I'll never forget the look on little Elian’s face when the paramilitary dressed in black seized this little boy with assault weapons drawn.
Uncle Sugah’s out of control.
